[NotR] Fire arrows?

I found a firebow and a couple of fire arrows in Dexter's camp in Chapter 1. They were tremendous help in the beginning, and I'd love to keep using the bow (I'm level 15 and in Chapter 2 now, but still haven't worked much on my stats - I think my Str is 26, and Dex 31), but I can't find any more fire arrows anywhere. Can I somehow make them from regular arrows? I am a fire magician.

First thing welcome to the forum(i hadn't time to greet you). About the fire arrows : i think they are a piece of crap just for the reason that they don't do too much damage and that you can't find extra fire arrows.

There are only ca 20 fire arrows in the game. There is no way to find/make any more fire arrows and you can't use usual arrows with the fire bow. That's very sad because it makes this bow relatively useless.

Yep, as you said, fire bow is a noob one, I never used it, beacuse it is not doing more damage than other bows with the same damage number (and unlimited arrows of course).
Later you will find a magic bow and a magic crossbow too, but they are useless too.

I hope there will different arrows made from all kinds of materials in Gothic 3 such as metal, silver, steel, gold, ore.Also it would be quite cool to poison them or light a fire on top of the arrow. Ranged combat should as cool as magic or melee!

That would be nice to see. Maybe i'll give the ranger a chance if this is how it will be in g3. :D

yeah and arrow made of steel shoud do more damage then the arrow of wood. And you choud actually burn a house of you hit with a fire arrow.

Yes, and the quivers will be great, that we can store our arrows in them.

i hate games which has wooden, golden, diamant and other arrows, coz it's very far from reality, which fool would make arrows from gold and wooden probably won't fly (eee you understand?) so i'm against having arrows from many mateials, but if you could burn a house with fire arrows, it would be nice

Sure, there IS way to make more. but you must use some bug. I've never try that, but it could be a interesting, using magic crossbow without any "arrow limitation"

I don´t know about this bug, but you can cheat them:


MagicBolt: insert ItRw_Addon_MagicBolt

MagicArrow: insert ItRw_Addon_MagicArrow

FireArrow: insert ItRw_Addon_FireArrow

I've never try that, but it could be a interesting, using magic crossbow without any "arrow limitation"Yes, in the German forum someone wrote that you can sell the magic weapon to a vendor. If that weapon is the best in his inventory he will use it and every time the player changes the world, the vendor will have +50 ammo for that weapon. After a few world changes the player can buy the ammo and sells a better weapon than the magic weapon to the vendor. After that the vendor will use this new better weapon and the player can buy the magic weapon.

The problem ist that there is no better ranged weapon than the magic xbow. So you have to cheat to get the XBow back. And because for a lot of ammo you wil have to do a lot auf world changes, i think it's not worth the effort. Since you have to use a bug that makes a lot of work you should better use the cheats to get the arrows.

It went into his "sell and buy - inventory" like all the other things he trades, so you can´t get it from him by beating him up.
I mean it´s not in his "normal" inventory (only imho)! ;)

Amalor said that vendor use it - so, if i attack the vendor from a big distance, he should use the bow against me. then i beat him, his bow will fall on ground and i can take it, i think

the fire bow is nothing more than spectacular... I won't trouble myself with getting more fire arrows because I don't use them at all...^^

about fire arrows that can burn a house(in G3), It is not so good idea, because then you will burn all woods and houses and what is the point ? :rolleyes: :)

Well, a great idea,... burning the woods with some arrows and the game says to you:"Well, solved everything, GAME OVER!" ;) :D

But burning something down with those arrows would be fine! §burn ... it shoudln´t be like burning everything down,...
anyway,... i have always asked myself, why can i run into those huts with a lighted torch without burning them down,... that would be cool,... maybe some passers by in panic to bring down the fire with buckets of water! :D

I think the torch goes in your inventory as a used torch. I liked that in Gothic1, when I putted a flaming torch in Old camp on the ground it remained there for alot of time. Everytime I passed the place the torch was on the ground....burning... :)

i have always asked my self how can i walk trough fire and not get burned. In g3 i think they shoud made that if you walk trough a fire u get burned-some of your life points are lost.

Good idea! That´s a point i was wondering about also sometimes! It should not do too much damage, but as you said, a few livepoints should get lost!

Indeed. I am also anoyed when i put out my weapon and they all say:Put that thing away that thing. or sth like that. Then i put my weapon back but they still shout to do it and after that they attack me. ahh §burn

Yeah, that steps sometimes on my nerves too, but i think, that´s more kinda bug in the engine, the fire thing is more like they just left it out of the engine completly. Let´s hope for g3! :)
