Constantino's ring

I can't get his ring by knocking him down or steal it from his chest even not with using MARVIN and pressing the O button, so i'm him and let him drop the ring.
I'm a knight now with 45 dex

edit: I have all the skills wich are needed for being a thieve.

What should I do to get his ring? use Marvin?

PS: could anyone tell me what the meaning of the word 'afaik' is?

You have to wait till he's asleep, then sneak inside and lockpick the chest, afaik. Shouldn't be any harder than any other chest in someone's house.
Or you can knock him down, open the chest, and cast oblivion on him.

The title isn't meant to ask a question anyway, ... maybe you just rephrase your question, since it's confusing, ... there are 2 edits in the start post and no question (-mark).

Do you mean that you can open the chest but there's no ring? Did you get the quest from Cassia?

well,I got the quest and tried, I opened it one time, when he was asleep but there wasn't a ring in it.
I tried in marvin mode the 'body-exchange'; opened inventory; no ring.
beated him up; nothing

edit: could anyone give me the code for the chest? I lost it.
