Gothic 3 "Enhanced Edition"

Hello,
Finally (after a long time of waiting) I got the right PC to run Gothic 3, installed the game and downloaded the official patches and another big one under the name "Community Patch", i read somewhere that it brings the game to the "enhanced edition". I'm kind of confused about whether I should play the game w/o this patch or with it (for the first time), any advices?

You should really play it with the patch for the first time, because it removes an awful lot of bugs! You can read the changelog to see about all the solved problems and the included extras.

I'll take the risk and try playing it with this CP for the first time, i don't have any other way. Game's not running w/o patching it with those ones. :)

Edit: I've finished updating with CP 1.74 and all, but I have a problem, when I start the game I see white texture-ground, movement is not right, i can't withdraw my weapon (sounds function, but no animation), any hints?

Well, I/we might be able to help you better if you can tell us a bit more about your PC:
- What PC do you have in terms of CPU, mainbord, graphics card, memory, etc?
- What OS have you installed?
- Do you have installed the latest drivers for your graphics card?
- Did you install DirectX?

Mmmh, G3 should work well then.

I have no idea how powerful your GPU (ATI Mobility Radeon 5650HD) is. At what resolution are you playing? You could try to put everything on low in the menu regarding the graphics (resolution at 800x600) and see if this improves anything.
