I can´t say when it is finished. I must do the english translation for the gothic 2 addon database and the gothic 1 database. But i have a lot of another work, too (real life, forum moderator).

Before I start taking screenshots, you have to recommend us some program that takes ingame screenshots by pressing a button on a keyboard. It's quite uncomfortable to press "Print Scrn" and then exit the game and then paste the image. Any recommendations?

If you have XP/2k and a good CPU, you can use Fraps, which you can get here (http://www.fraps.com/download.php). Or Hoversnap (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/hoversnap.html), which is good too and more simple.

yes that was better... but i cant explain how you can do it :scared: for this you need the modification kit....
i have done it only one time and its some time ago :(

i have found anything... you can change the sky coulor in the gothic.ini to this zDayColor0 201 182 213 ;) :)

I think that´s a compression thing.
Have you somewhere a "option" field, you must change there the quality to maximum....

It´s enough to translate guide for guide. I think it´s better NPCs- and location (Orte) guide only. Translation of the description of a NPC or location in a .txt-file. I can copy it then into a javascript file.
All other guides are easier but i don´t need there to copy&paste something.

for 10 ore each, untill you didn´t squeal him to Brandick, this also helps you

This Guardian guards the gate to the Minecrawlernest. He opens it only
if you got the password and a minimum of 2 Templars (maximum 3) which helping you
(Quest ´Secretion from the Minecrawlers´).





- Brandick

He guards the Diggers. You can squeal Aleph to this Guardian.





- Drake

You can meet him just at the entrance in the Old Mine.
He is a Guardian and tells you a little bit about the Old Mine.

If you buy the information about Glen from Aleph for 10 ore, he sells you
some picklocks.

He helps to guard the gate to the Minecrawlernest.

i played g1 and got some notices :) :
i was wrong... grimes is telling you that he worked in the old mine for 10 years, and before the old mine he worked in the abandoned mine that colapsed or sth like that... a hint: maybe you should write that he is an old digger ;)
and garp is telling about the orc slave which was cought by guards and tried to escape once but the guards beat him so hard that he never tried again to escape :)

P.S: maybe in the german version is not writen about those things but why shouldn't you write those things in the englsh version ;)

He´s a Fire Mage. In the further game he get killed by Gomez´ followers.





- Dusty

He´s a Digger who is not really happy about beeing in the Old Camp.
He would like to go to his friend Melvin in the Swamp Camp (Quest ´New Souls
for the Brotherhood´).








- Fingers

He´s a Shadow from the Old Camp. He´s a teacher for pickpocketing (till level 2)
and for cracking locks (till level 2).
He can help you become a Shadow (Quest ´Admission Old Camp´).








- Fisk

He deals with some kind of stuff like armor, weapons and food. If you
knocked Mordrag down and told him to leave the Old Camp, you must find a
new fence for Fisk (Quest ´New fence for Fisk´).








- Fletcher

After Neks vanish he´s patrolling next to the arena (Quest ´Vanished Guardian´).
In chapter 3 he stands at the Southgate from the closed Old Camp
(Quest ´Help from the Firemages´) and attacks you after you talked
to him.



- Flex

He´s a bandmember of ´In Extremo´. You can find him in chapter 2
onstage by the castle.





- Gomez

He´s the Orebaron and the leader of the Old Camp. He can join you into the
Shadow Guild. Don´t speak to him unasked, - he could kill you.
From chapter 5 on he is vulnerable.





- Gor Hanis

He´s a fighter from the Swamp Camp. You can ask him to fight with him in the arena.






- Graham

He´s a Digger. He sells Maps from the Camp, but the Map with the way to the
Old Mine on it, you´ll get for free (Quest ´Test of confidence´).




- Gravo

He´s a Digger from the Old Camp. He can help you when you got trouble
with Diego, Gomez or Thorus.





- Grim

He´s a Digger from the Old Camp. He´s working for Bloodwyn. If you don´t paid
Bloodwyn the protection money, Grim tries to lure you out of the Camp
to attack you there with the help from 2 other Diggers.







- Guy

He´s a Digger from the Old Camp. He shows you your hut. He
also tells you something about all 3 Camps of the Colony.





- Herek

He´s a Digger from the Old Camp.







- Huno

He´s a Smith in the Old Camp. He´s a teacher for smithing and
sells everything needed for smithing.







- Jackal

He´s a Guardian from the Old Camp who wants daily 10 ore protection money from you.

He´s a Cook in the Old Camp. After you brought him the ingredients he needs

He´s the smith for the Guardians. He makes armors. Further in the game

some notes... im not 100% sure about what i'm saying but you should take a look at those:

-Flethcer and Bloodwyn... dont they guard the gates from chapter 4? :confused: you wrote from chapter 3...
-Herek... he also attacks you if you dont pay protection money to Bloodwyn
-Jackal... he doesn't want daily protection money.. he want protection money just once
-Jesse- this digger warns you that herek attacks you (if you didnt payed protection money to Bloodwyn)
-Mordrag.. just a little hint... it's not "assignment from thorus" its:"thoru's quest" :D

You forgot a few things.1-You need to put the InExtremo Band on the platform,which cant be done without B-Marvin-B-F8.2-You need some cheat codes for some clapping diggers(just for effects).3-You need to have the cheat code for that guy Steve.4-Type in the console(by pressing F2)Ztriggerinextremo(or smth like that,and ONLY from a distance,ex Cavalorns Hut,or you dont have to do it,at me it worked without it,but I have much experience with cheats ;) )

Yes.. i played it... and there is sometimes a bug in this part, when you left fangorn :(. The best will be, to save before you tried to left the city... some other guys said, after some trial it has worked. Otherwise you have to start a new game :(

It´s easy to say "i do the translation".... but then everything went against it... (things like you have a lot of other things to do, or now i´m still a little bit ill (got cold),... then the nervs say no to translation-work!
I would guess, i have 1/4 work done (the upcoming translations are a little more text, so it´s not exactly correct).... but the first lines are the hardest, the more i did, the easier it goes! :)

-Baal Isidro
He arrives from the Camp of the Brotherhood and desires the Rogues and Mercenaries to buy his weed. However he rather roams himself in the tavern, and one can remove its task from him.

-Baal Kagan
He comes also from the Sect Camp. If a task for him is settled (Quest 'Weed Customer') the hero can be sent to the Sect Camp to another Baal. (Quest ' Admission to the Swamp Camp '). In addition it tells the hero about Baal Isidro.

-Blade
A usual mercenary like all the others.

-Bruce
A usual Rogue who lives in his hut in the New Camp

-Buster
A Rogue who adresses to the hero the first time they meet and tells that he can teach Acrobatics.

-Butch
A violent Rogue who has the habit to beat everybody who talks to him the first time they meet.

-Cipher-Cave
Here is at night.

-Cipher-Tavern
He can be found in the day in the tavern. If the hero spoke with Balor in the Swamp Camp, he can talk with Cipher about weed business. (Quest 'The weed harvest')

-Cord-Cave
He sleeps here at night.

-Cord-Drill ground
He's a Mercenary master in one-handed fight and teach other Mercenaries in it. Also he carries a good one-handed weapon. The hero can learn mastering one-handed fight.(to level 2)

-Cronos
The only Water Magician, which can be met at the beginning of the play. It moves all day long around the mound of ore. It sells magic writings and rings. From him the hero gets as a Rogue a Messenger's Amulet of the Water Magicians as well as a message to the Fire Magicians. He is a teacher for Mana (to 100). Starting from Chapter 6 he is no longer invulnerable.

-Gorn-Cave
A further mercenary of the Water Magicians. Gorn becomes later a good friend of the hero. From him the hero receives some references over the New Camp as well as a part of the goods got from the attacks over Gomez' convoy, but only, if the hero brought Lares the requirement list of the Old Camp.

-Gorn-Chapter 4
Gorn stands here and waits for the hero to release the free mine. It helps the hero in doing this.

-Homer-Dam
Homer is a peasant, whom the hero finds at the beginning on the dam, while he keeps look out. If the hero settled his Quest 'Lurker at the dam', he retires himself into his cave with the Rogues.

-Homer-Cave
He retires into the cave of the New Camp , after the hero killed the dam lurker.

-Horatio
A strong peasant, who could have been with the mercenaries. But it reduced Lee's offer and is now a farmhand, who can help the hero, to be become stronger, if the hero gives him a reason. (Quest 'Horatio the peasant')

-Jarvis
Jarvis is a mercenary, who stands at the actual entrance of the camp and guards it. Also from him the hero gets some general references of the New
Camp.

-Jeremiah
The schnaps burner of the New Camp. The hero finds it in the tavern. He gives the hero a reference over Horatio. (Quest 'Horatio the farmer')

-Lares
The boss of the Rogues. From him the hero receives the Quest 'The big thing of the Brotherhood' as a Rogue. Also he teaches Strength and Dexterity (to 100). The hero should give the list from Ian to him (Quests ' Test of faith' and 'Admission to the New Camp')

-Lee-Dam
It is located here in chapter 4, if the hero released the Free Mine. If the hero talk to him gets a Fire Storm Rune from him. As Water Magician the hero can learn two-handed fight in the New Camp now with him.

-Lee-Cave
Boss of the Mercenaries. If the hero is a Rogue, he promotes the hero to Mercenary. The moreover the hero can buy mercenary arms from him. Also he is a teacher for two-handed fight (to stage 2), Strength and Dexterity(both to 100).

-Merdarion
A Water Magician which gives himself his studies.

-Milten-Chapter 5
Later in the game the hero meets with Milten on Water Magicians' place. He will help the hero to load the sword Uriziel again with magic. (Quest 'The magic sword URIZIEL')
