Bag of Spices "spawn time" ?

I try to buy Bag of Spices from Konrad (is there anyone else that sells this?), and I get to buy 3 bags from him.. but then I cannot get any more!
Is there a ridicoulsy high spawn time on this? I have tried to sleep up to 7 days, but still no spices.

This cannot be intended??

I mean, I have used HOURS to walk around getting meat and mushrooms to make Hunter's Fry-up only to find out that one ingredient is like non-existent?

Only some things respawn.
Spice which is needed for permanent bonuses in cooking, will certainly not have a respawn cyclys.

This item respawns with merchants only after you go to the next chapter. This is much like how merchants get better weapons and items as you progress through the story.

Konrad is selling the spice bags. I got 3 in each chapter except in chapter 2 where I got 3 bags and later on in the chapter again 3. I do not know whether it is a bug or I did something that has triggered the item to respawn. Does someone has the explanation ?

P.S. there is also one bag in the boat of the beach at the extreme N-W of the island.

Speaking of witch - does anyone know where that recipe for the "Travellers potion" (?) can be found. The one that gives XP. I got it in my forst run through but don't know from where, and now I'm almost at the end of the second run through and still haven't found it.

For me it seems, as Risen was earlier planned to have 5 chapters, which was reduced to 4 chapters. However, as soon as you open the lizard prison to free Eldric or lift the secret of the eastern temple, lizards will be spawned all over the island close to temple ruins. At the same time all trader inventorys will be refreshed. Thats why you can purchase 6 bags of spices from Konrad in the second chapter.

A misunderstanding?

What i meant is, that the current single chapter 2 probably was planned to be splitted into two chapters. Not that you (Piranha Bytes) have cut off a chapter completely at the end or in between the chapters.

However, you say no, so it wasn't done.:)

As i noticed recently, i was not entirely correct. There is another trigger. This time i changed my walkthrough. I cleared the eastern tempel first including the lizard priest, but it wasn't enough. No refreshment in traders inventory. So i made all quests arround Steelbeards treasure additionally. After killing Romanov an handing the map over to Patty the inventories were filled again. So you need both.
