Archiv verlassen und diese Seite im Standarddesign anzeigen : Where to go first?
Hi there, after the tutorial part, I head directly too Harbor City, is it a good choice, will I miss things ? Im kind of wondering if it was too early to get there... I just walked there as I can't kill any of the pack monsters on the way...
Don't know to be honest. I went to the swamps, to the bandit camp. You can go there and get questing, level up a bit. After a while you need to go to the Harbor, it's there where you make your choise of being a Inquisitor or a bandit.
So I suppose it's not a smart idea to go there instantly. First level yourself a bit and get some better gears... :)
just try do as much quests as possible without choosing a side, most people to bandit camp first since if you go to habour town you won't beable to leave until some quest are completed.
well I guest its not that bad as im looking to join the bandits... ill go in the swamp after !!
anyway thanks for your reply dude !§wink

You can go to the swamp first and do all the quests in order to get an audience with the don (this does not mean you have chosen his side yet). He will then send you to harbor town as mentioned by Dread. Once you get to harbor town you must decide whether to do quests for the dons men or for commander carlos(the order). If you do quests for the don you swear allegiance to him (warrior path), if for carlos you swear allegiance to the order. If you choose to do quests for the order you will eventually get a letter of recommendation from carlos to enter the monastery without being arrested. Once at the monastery you can choose the path of the mage or order warrior(paladin type). Unless you get captured by the order (outside the city) before you get a recommendation from carlos in which case you are forced to be either a mage or order warrior. So I guess its possible to do quests for the dons men in harbour town and then to be captured and still become a mage or order warrior. Not sure about this though.

That's exactly what I've done

Well...if you go to the swamp first and you work for the don you would lack motivation to join the order...I mean you can still join the order but for roleplay motives, making an decision without a proper motivation is pretty bad...and I like to roleplay, thats why I haven't join the order...
Well I did slighty different by going right to the harbor, I did join de Don from there and now that I can at least kill a human, im going to the swamp ! i guest its part of the free roaming being able to do it that way.... This game is so addictive by the way, very...veryyyy good

I agree with you. I haven't yet pick a site, but i definitely will join the bandits for my first play. As in Gothic 1. How can you join the new or the swamp camp, when the first person who helps you and it's your first friend is Diego??

I agree with the role-playing motive, I did it that way on my first play through, on my second I'm doing it differently just to see if its possible, and am mentioning it so that others know its possible.

That is what made me JOIN the Order. The bandits just made me mad with the back-stabbing and generally crooked type actions. My character didn't know if the "bandits" where good or bad but after working for them a bit, I found them repulsing. Good people don't demand protection money. I wanted to play a good character in this game and the Order, at least still in chapter 1, seem like the better people. I wanted to see both sides of the story before choosing and the Order just seemed to have better intentions. This could change later in the story, but I am not there yet so I will see.

Yes but if you go to the bandit camp you hear a lot of crap about the order...that they take people by force to the monastery and turn them into brainwashed fanatics, that they steal the land and riches from the rightfull rulers etc...so unless your character has a burning desire to become a brainwashed fanatic I don't understand why he would go for the order....I'm speaking of course in roleplay terms...even if your character is thinking that the bandits are bad from what he knows the inquisition is worse...and the fact that he hears from order warriors that they fight for the people bla bla doesn't mean anything for him because their brainwashed...like that guy rodriguez...

Maybe the bandits are brainwashing the character in a way, with all their propaganda. The order is acting acting for a greater goal, even if they are causing collateral damage imo.

Yes but some facts you stumble upon in chapter1 like rodriguez who was a thief before, becoming a law respectfull warrior of the order willing to arrest his former friends, or the locking of the harbour town and the law which forbids citizens to go outside the town else they get recruited by force in the order...well this kind of facts made me think the Inquisitor and the order are evil...even though it can go both ways....you may think the bandits are evil by finding a good excuse for every fact here..

Lol? Taking ppl with force to conscript is a good thing and collateral damage? Closing a town and make ppl hungry is good too? Ofc the bandits are the good faction, inquisition is the evil one and the mages are the cowards( aka neutral one).
