Hello and welcome to the Help forum for RISEN. You have a problem and want it solved as soon as possible, right? In order to allow us to help you quickly, there are a few rules which you should stick to. These rules are meant to minimise queries by possible helpers and help them to get straight to the point. So you do yourself a favour by following them.

http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/images/smilies/s_017.gif Search first, ask then!
This is more than just a rule, it is a good advice. It is highly likely that someone else already had the same problem as you. So browse through the forum and use the search function (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/search.php) to look for possible solutions. Keep in mind that when you ask a question, you'll have to wait for answers. With the search (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/search.php), you can get instant results!

http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/images/smilies/s_017.gif Keep your system updated!
Many problems can be solved if you simply install the most recent drivers or system components. Even if you think you already did that some time ago, it is possible that another application you installed later on overwrote those with outdated versions. A short overview can be found below.

http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/images/smilies/s_017.gif Phrase your questions in a way that we can help you!
Use a meaningful title which describes your problem in a short, yet precise way. Many users do not have the time to read every thread. A thread like "Help - RISEN does not work!!!!" might be ignored by them. Anything could be the problem there and who wants to saddle oneself with so much work? But someone who reads in the forum overview of a problem that he himself already had, maybe he'll take the time and tell you how he solved it.
Also, describe your problem within your post as precise as possible. We suggest you use this check list:

What did you do?
What did you expect to happen?
What happened instead? If you got an error message what is the exact wording? Provide a screenshot, if necessary.
What did you already try without success?
What is your system configuration and did you change anything recently (including the software)?
Can you reproduce the problem? Tell us exactly what to do, step by step.
Describe your symptoms, not your assumptions (if you have an idea what the cause might be and don't know how to verify it, it's alright to ask).

http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/images/smilies/s_017.gif Try to use correct spelling and grammar!
In this board, a lot of people from many different countries gather. English is not the native language for most of them. In order to allow everyone to communicate efficiently, you should stick to proper english grammar and spelling. Slang expressions or "133t wr8t1n4" (translation: leet writing) can cause confusion for some people.
If you have trouble with the english language yourself, that is ok. No one is perfect. Try to use a spell checker and stick to simple phrases. Just try your best and you should be fine! :)

http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/images/smilies/s_017.gif No Off-Topic, No Spam!
This forum is for help requests and solutions only. If you want to discuss something, please use the general discussion (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=548). If a question has been answered, it is useless to repeat the answer. If you do not have to add anything that might be relevant, consider the topic as done.
Posts which are not in accordance with these rules can be treated as spam and might get deleted.

http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/images/smilies/s_017.gif Have patience!
Sometimes, it may take a while until someone has an idea of how to solve your problem. A forum is no real-time medium. The one with the correct answer might be at work or doing a pub tour with his friends. Wait until he is back at his PC. It won't help if you urge for an answer which no one has.
