So we can see what can be tuned down or turned off to gain more performance. According to this performance review Risen supports SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion):

It would be really nice to know if there's a separate setting to turn this one off since it's a really bad performance hog in most games (talking about 30-40% performance hit here).
