I've been a fan of the Gothic series for a while and have been excited about this title, and wanted to preorder it. I have some store credit at my local ebgames, but when I went in, they couldn't find it in their system. It's on their site and everything, but I really wanted to pick it up on release date. I was a little confused as the release is less than a month away. Has anyone else had this problem?

Welcome to the forum! §wink

Perhaps you can explain the problem to us in greater detail? Which country are you from? Is this "ebgames" the only available shop there? Have you asked them about pre-odering RISEN?

Here in Germany, it's no problem to pre-order at Amazon. As it probably is in all other regional Amazon shops (UK, Canada, US, etc.). In the Czech republic, there is a store called Xzone.cz where you get an Inquisitor's ocular upon pre-ordering RISEN. In Switzerland, they raffle a gnome figurine off to the customers.

Sorry about that, I live in the United States in Minnesota specifically. Ebgames is the nearest retailer to me, although I do have Best Buy, Target, etc. I know that I could preorder it on Amazon, but I have some store credit at Ebgames/Gamestop, so I wanted to look into preordering it there. They do have it on their site and I was wondering if anyone else had tried to preorder from there?

FWIW, Gamestop online has Risen pre-order for $39.99; I'm thinking about it right now.

I know this, but I can't use my store credit towards it, so was wondering about at the actual store.

Haha, the preorder from Britain (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002ACOWSC/ref=s9_sima_gw_s0_p63_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=1YHJCME93A938BPQ7F79&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467198433&pf_rd_i=468294) is a lot cheaper than the one from Germany. Also the UK version only includes english voice acting, due to the "problem" with the price.

Whereas continental europe versions are multilingual.

It's a high probability that I'm wrong so someone more knowledgeable please correct me. The UK version has English voice acting whereas continental versions are multilanguage only with subtitles. Sorry for any potential misinformation.

Not only subtitles. The Italian and Spanish languages are subtitles only. French, English and German is with localised voice acting.

Who cares?
Even if Risen was fully localized in Greece I'd still prefer the English version :dnuhr:

Haha, no offence, but I remeber the Sandokan movies and that voice acting sounded so....§rofl

Well, I think I will have to order it from the UK, it is 20 euros cheper than the interantional version, which I think will be distributed in Romania. Hope that the mailing taxes won't be that big.

Get the guitar, man. Music is more important than playing video games.

Don't underestimate video games as a medium, friend. But yeah, music is imo more important, but getting a guitar and trying to play easy melodies isn't much of a music experience.

Buy the guitar now and risen in a year, when it will cost half of what it costs at release.

Are you smoking weed?

A decent electric guitar will cost you 350-500 euros...Risen costs 30 euros if you will preorder it...

Nope, a good ghuitar costs that much. You can buy a good one with 180-200 euros. Squire by Fender for example. Risen costs 50 euros. That means 25% of the cost of the electric guitar. If he raised money for the last 2 years, that would mean another 6 months until he buys the guitar. Or he can wait 6 months to buy risen much cheaper.

The PC version will be 30-40.
