Yes, go in the scripts, set the cash value of old coins from 0 to 1. Pretty simple change.

Oh yes! haha I only recently started playing gothic 1 again, I didn't realize that pretty much anything with a value of 1 is currency

Edit: I could not find any kind of scripts inside of my gothic folders (or subfolders)

I downloaded mod development kit and it comes with item, food, armor etc scripts inside of subfolders in the folder gothic (in the main folder of gothic mod development kit)

These script text files are all clearly easy to edit but they are in german, I have englisch version of game, will that matter? and also when I'm done editting, how do I put it together?

The Original English Scripts of Gothic 1 are available in the German Sections Modder Databank (http://www.worldofgothic.de/modifikation/moddb/).

Well, I cannot get to the /moddb extension, it gives me a port error (server not found or something) but I can go here http://www.worldofgothic.de/modifikation/ and i couldn't find anything at all, I checked 'downloads' and nothing about englisch scripts there.

And can I add this to another mod? like if I wanted to use dark mysteries and this at the same time?

Yes, some sections of wog.de are down atm because the page was rebuild with a newer CMS.
