how do I equip fists?

i haven't been able to find the answer anywhere.

You have to disarm the hero (no weapon equipped), than you can use the fists like a normal weapon (space).

i knew it must be something simple like that, but i somehow failed to get it.

Or you can press the tilde(` ~) regardless of which weapons you have equipped.. I think.

i am unable to click on items in my inventory anymore, as in to use or equip them. When i click on them their image appears over them as if i am clicking and holding. i can still press enter when i'm hovering over them to use or equip but still i wonder why i can't just click on them anymore.

it was an application i had running that caused the mouse-inventory problem.

I think that's only for Gothic 1 and 2. Not 3 which I think the OP was talking about.

Well, it would've been logical to have kept it at tilde...
