Well, first of all greetings to the gothic society! §wink
Second, Sorry that my post is HUGE but Please read it! :(
I really need help

A few days ago i decided to install gothic2 at my pc once again in order to play as a fire mage this time.
And so i did.I bought my sheep and brought 1k gold to monastery so i was accepted as Novice.
I did all the quests needed in order to get into library and the quest given in the library(dont remember the npc's name) about the 3 oblivion spell scrolls.
Anyway after i read all the book stands, i finally reached the last one where i read about the Test of Fire and the fact that i can demand it in frond of the Council of the fire mages.
I went to pyrocar and he and the 2 other mages of the council gave me the 3 quests i had to complete in order to become a fire mage.
Having done that and after having searched for quite some time before i understand where to start, i found another attendor of the test of fire who talked seat as usual saying he will complete it bla bla bla...
Anyway, i asked him if he knew anything about the living rock part, where i am supposed to kill the magic golem as i found out later on and he told me to go straight ahead, and i will find it before the bridge.
I found it but i didnt try to kill it as i wanted to complete the other parts of the quest line first.
I found one more attendor of the quest after the bridge and we moved on together for some part of the trip.
Anyway i found the place where i could complete the test of pyrocar with the ''path'' thing and i found the runestone.
On my way home( the monastery :p) i was attacked by a 3rd attendor of the test and a bit later on from the guy with whom i was with(i had to sleep this one couldnt kill him as 7lvl novice with only +20 mana pool and 40 or so spare learning points i wanted to use when i had become a fire mage§finger2).
Anyway i returned to the monastery, with the runestone i created a firebolt rune i talked to the council and with that i had completed 2 out of 3 quests required in order to be a fire mage.
So i returned to the place where the magic golem was and tried to kill it... Thats where my problem starts §burn.
I tried every single type of element magic(lightning/fire/ice) including the scroll that is near the magic golem which i managed to take and used on it(ice block its called i think) and fist of wind.None of the worked on it as it seems it was totally immune to all spells and all type of physical damage from my sword.
After that i made the golem chase me as i couldnt think of anything else and took it the first time to the monastery where all the novices attacked it plus some fire mages with spells but they couldnt kill it!.The second time i made the golem follow me to Khorinis hoping the guards might kill it...
Nothing happened again, its hitpoints didnt drop not even by 1%...

What am i supposed to do?
I remember from gothic1 that when i had faced a golem with similiar strengths(immune to everything) i had used a minimize spell scroll where the golem became tiny and then i could kill it. I tried to find a similar scroll but didnt stand a chance since i am still at chapter 1 anyway...

If someone can help me in any way i would appriciate it :)

It only appears during the quest, and its on the way to the end location of the test.

You walk past it when following Lares to the water mages. (which, ofcourse, he only does in NotR)

...and of course it only appears in NotR. In G2 vanilla - it is ALWAYS there. So it was kind'a of a bug, that they fixed. I remember engaging that golem as a paladin.

I dont remember any Magic Golem as a DH and Paladin.Neither in Gothic 2 Vanilla and Gothic Notr or Gold.

No, in Gothic 2 without Notr the magic golem should always be there, in Notr only during the test of fire.

Oh, come on!
This is like cheating in the university entrance exams! :p

It is called a "TEST" of fire for an obvious reason.

It is called a "TEST" of fire for an obvious reason.Well, obviously when Nefarius (was that his name? The ugly bastard left of Pirokar) gave you this "test" he did NOT expect you to pass it. Damn, I hate those mages.

Right! Why do mages need such hard to recall names anyway?
