I tryed it. It was ok for some time, but then it started crashing again.
Shoud I increase resource usage? I have 2 GB RAM.

Hmm... I don't know.
Make sure you have at least 2GB of virtual memory.

Does it crash randomly or every time in a specific place?

It never happened in towns. Only in forests.

Play with the "vegetation quality" setting in the game's options. High, low, medium.

There is a problem with the combination of Vista, Gothic 3, 2go of RAM, and maxed graphic options.

I had random crash while playing, as often as 10+ crashs per hour. The errors were "Where is the Guru", Out of Memory, and other similar messages.
My PC: dualcore E6750, 2Go RAM, 8800GTX, Vista

After a long time lurking the net for an answer, I found this:

the thread: http://forum.jowood.com/showthread.php?t=141191
the explanation: http://forum.jowood.com/showthread.php?p=2040338#post2040338

I applied the fix, wich modify the gothic exe and the windows boot, and since then I had ONE single "where is the guru" crash after... 16 hours of running!
