Liberating Cape Dun

I have no words. NO words. This is way too hard. I can manage to kill dragons but I got no chance in hell to liberate Cape Dun when helping out Wenzel. Is it really suppoed to be THAT hard? I'm lvl 14 and have some skills upgraded and some ok eq. But still, i have no chance against all those orcs/mercs simply because there are too many of them. If, and i stress if, i get to fight 1 on1, there is no problem, except that there are atleast 2 npcs shooting at me with crossbows which is making it kinda hard. If i knock down an npc, there's another one waiting in line to attack me, so i can't even concentrate on the on i'm fighting. Gah!

Is the game supposed to be THIS hard(at easy)?! Or is it me doing something wrong here?

I had no problems liberating it... and I didn't have Wenzel to help me out, either. In fact, I tried that few times and got killed instantly, so I just figured trying not to start fighting with a hundred orcs around and instead attacked the orcs in the lower part of town. That way it was a piece of cake. I don't remember what level I was on, but around the same as you are.

I had some probs, too, and got killed some times,... in the end i ran back where Wenzel was sitting, and took there the fight, ... but yes, that is kinda a hard task.

you need some potions.......at the right of the house where is wenzel,there are some stairs,and go up there,and use potions when you don`t have to much life...

well what i did, first of all was get the under ground to help you when the fight starts then when you and wenzel go to fight the orcs let him go out, attack whatever orc untill everyone has there aim on him, then help him kill whoever he is fighting and since you have not killed anyone you wont die if they knock you down do this until all on the top of cap dun is dead then go down and kill all the orcs that are fighting the slaves, thats how i done it:):)

Well how I did it was thanks to a bug I think...
when you are in a fight (with wathever what creature) press i and your inventory will pop up. The fight continues and they hit you hard, but it won't do any damage. Take your time to eat and drink, relax, and then press i again... it takes long but it isn't hard at all that way...

ì did it in level 20 or something around that.
i was with wenzel in the lighthouse, just use some spells, like flame wave around you for 2 times and its alot more easy, wenzel jsut blocks the entrance and there you go. after that run out and take them all 1v1 near the graveyard. wenzel died but that was good cause now i have a paladin shield:p. now try to free montera mate :P thats harsh.

If the issue is crossbows, then either learn to use a shield or disengage from them melee brutes and attack the crossbowers. If you get near them, they'll put their crossbows away and fight with their blades. You can also start at the bottom in order to face them in narrower placers where crossbows won't work as well.
