Insane Mode

Hehe finally... I've started to create this mod a month ago, but it was so boring. I changed 648 files :p and it took me around 7-8 hours. I think you have understand what i mean when i say Insane mode hehe :D . Here is the description i have on Gothic3Starter:

Many fans complain that Gothic 3 is much more easier than the previous Gothics. Click this box in the right and be sure that you won't tell that again! This Insane mode changes the experience of the quests. In most of them it’s 50% lower! Hehe it’s really a challenge. If you finished Gothic3 level 60 (for example) with this mode you will finish it on 30-40 level. Actually the change of the experience will bring you many problems. For example you can’t learn so many skills (you have to choose wisely which will you learn) so you won't kill enemies easily and take their money. Also there are three sub-difficulties in this mod(e). Of course you can choose whether you play Insane mode in easy, normal or hard!

Links:
1. For Gothic 3 Starter. Extract the zip file in Gothic3\Modifications directory, run the G3 Starter and click the box (enable the mod) and run the game

To check that the mod work- liberate Ardea 250 exp (instead of 500) If there are some bugs then please inform me!

IF RAPIDSHARE HAS DELETED THE FOLDER JUST SEND ME AN EMAIL AND I WILL SEND YOU THE FILE

Sounds interesting...But have you tested if the experience points are enough to
learn some basic skills?

For example if you are playing as a fighter, you must have the possibility to learn at least all the fighting perks...

Anyways good job...;) Keep it on...

Thanks. I think you can, because (in the normal game) i'm a fighter level 60 and i have learned ALL skills in Fighting category (including regeneration, orcslayer etc) ALL the bow skills and ALL the smith skills and i have a lot of HP and STR. So with this mod you have to make decisions more wisely-as in the beginning of the game- and choose skills that you really need them ;)

What are the changes in this mod's easy, normal and hard modes?

Lazor

No there isn't actually any, but i said that because you can have insane mode enable and play the game in easy, normal, hard. If you play the game in Insane-Hard and finish it you'll be a god :P

That is what I have been waiting for. PB hasn't thought about that. Thanks for you effort. I also wonder if it would be possible to change the amount of damage spells or weapons can do so that one hit is not enough to kill a guy.

Thanks. About your idea, i'll try to find where this part of the game programming is and i'll change it, but i promise nothing

Actually, how can we open the unpacked files with all the diffrent extentions ( graphic files, or some templates etc. Do you if there are any applications to open and modify these files ?

Except of ximg, quest, info, dds (gui) files i don't know how to modify any other file.

Most of the file formats used by Gothic3 are proprietary formats developed by PB.
Tools to open/edit them will either have to be released by them or reverse-engineered by those who know how to do it.

There already is a tool for handling their file system format(pak files) and a tool for converting the ximg format.

I got 1 more question :

You said theres a 2nd difficulty mode , beside the 50x exp for quests thing ...
Does the 2nd difficulty mode change the life / str / whatever of the mobs or what?

No let me explain it to you.
The Insane Mode change the quest stats to -50% (and lower)
And we've got in G3 options:
Difficulty:
1)Easy
2)Normal
3)Hard
That's what i mean. You can play the Insane mode in any of those three difficulties. So we have:
1)Insane Mode Easy
2)Insane Mode Normal
3)Insane Mode Hard
Got it?

Now i'm trying to change the stats (hp,str etc) of the npcs using the marvin mode.

Thanks:D . If you play the mod, play it from the beginning of the game till the end, then you'll notice the difficulty. Also remember to use Gothic3 Starter and enable the mod every time before you play the game.

You bumped a 3 year old thread to say that? Since you're new here, let me explain that gravedigging is generally frowned upon, unless there is a truly valid contribution, or a serious issue. In this case, unnecessary.

Delete this post if it is inappropriate (thread necromancy) but greenrent has made similar posts on six other threads, and I for one couldn't understand what information he was talking about.
