HELP! Stuck with Gonzales (Mora Sul)

Hi there!

I'm stuck in the game and it's driving me mad.§cry

The point is that my reputation at Mora Sûl is 70% and the guard Nasib at Gonzales's chamber won't let me in. I've spoiled the quest "Presents for Gonzales"... you know how? Well, listen to this:
- I collected the weed from Lago and gave it to Gonzales
- Brought him the slave-dancer-lady (Alima)
- Killed Kaffuf's traitor-guards and reported to Bandaro
- Paid 1000 gold coins
- Beat the Fatman up to reactivate the trade of slaves
- ... and completed ALL the other quests that rise your reputation here .

However, I didn't:
- Give Gonzales the sword Moonblade (gave it to Ismael the blacksmith)
- Kill Yussuf, I decided to set him free (sorry, the way of the rebel).

Now I'm fucked up because I need one of the keys to enter the temple and Gonzales owns it... but I can't get in his chamber!! so there's no way to talk to him... I JUST CAN GET IN AND KILL'EM ALL but that means wasting a good deal of new exciting quests I don't wanna miss (there's a black mage in there, Ningal, who will sure assign me one or two). I discard this option then.

Damn, my other saved game is located at the entrance of the desert, being my character about 9 or 10 levels lower! I can't afford wasting my present game and start over! What can I do? I have done ALL THE QUESTS at Mora Sûl already...

Any solution? I've been thinking of a cheat: What if I respawn a character like Gonzales out of his chamber or just respawn the sword Moonblade? Will that work?:confused:

You can try beating up the smith you gave moonblade to an taking it back.Save first or use the console to get a moonblade.Worth trying.

From my understanding, you only need 75% rep in Mora Sul to speak with Gonzalez. Presents for him just help you get that rep.

Thanx for the advice, but I've already tried beating the smith up in order to take the sword back... Unluckily it didn't work, and the guard at Gonzale's place didn't mention anything related to the sword again...
I'll try the console cheat... I'll cross fingers! It's my only chance.

It won't work to bring the Moonblade back once you give it to the smith.

Did you give Gonzales the promissory notes? Or you give them to Masil?


I did the same thing (I wanted to be 'good'), set free Yussuf, give the blade to the smith and give the notes to Masil. The only way was to enter by force or to cheat.

To cheat, open console, type spawn sh and talk to Mr. Help. Iirc choose 'enclave reputation in Varant', then 'Mora Sul 80'.

Goto Lago. Become duel arena champion there and the prize will be a package of swampweed. Give that as a gift.

I'm not 100% sure that you get it by becoming duel arena champion, but it's definately somewhere in Lago. Lago is small, so you shouldn't have any problems finding the package if I'm wrong.

The problem is if you set him free or give the blade to the smith, the quests are marked as completed... and Nasib won't talk about them.

I gave the moonblade to the guard outside gonzales place but when i checked my inventory the moonblade was still there i works for mw but now i am starting to think that it may buged my main quest did this happen to anyone of you?:confused:

I think you can find another moonblade somewhere else as well.

Then it's one more bug in the world of Gothic - a drop in the ocean :D

Did you kill the water mages? You earn +3 reputation for every mage killed. Although it's a pity to kill your old friends :p.
If not, try to kill Gonzales and take his key.

You get reputation with the hashishins for killing mages, not rep for Mora Sul.

That was said in the walktrough. Than Gonzales gives you this quest.:rolleyes:

And what has this to do with this thread? achiles75 can't talk to Gonzales, that's his problem, not the quests Gonzales gives you.
