Hello there. I'm an english speaker(not native, but anyway, I'm not a german speaker) and I have some question about Farming in GW.
I have Factions and Nightfall.
Now which are the places where you can farm except FoW, The Deep (I'm W/Mo so Urgoz is not of any interest right?). In NF for example...where could I go to form a party and go farming?
What should I expect when entering The Deep, FoW or other places like these?
What strategies are usually used in farming...I'm asking about the methods to do farming like Chest runs.
Although I'm about to move the topic to the "Help Forum", I can add a little advice to farming:
Farming is done in as small groups as possible in order to increase the chance of valuable drops for the player.
Warriors going for solo-farming into the FoW usually restrict themselves to the beach and the cavern full of spiders.
"Farming" the Deep might be a bit difficult. I have heard of Ritualists or Rangers "farming" the Hopping Vampires/Thought Stealers with their spirits for some keys in Urgoz's Warren.

Some Farmbuild for warriors u can find here (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/showpost.php?p=2162895&postcount=4) ( If you click on the Skill-Links there are also the english names) The FoW-farm-build calls "Solo Riss Beach", the explainitions (is that the right word?) u have to find somewhere else, sry.
But if you want only to go to an high-end-lvl-area wich is realy hard and funny to play and where is dropping a lot of rare stuff, the domain of pain is the right place for you, u came to this place if u have rescued Elona:)

The skill database on our homepage Hall-of-Heroes (http://www.hall-of-heroes.de/?go=db_skill) lets you search for skills both in English and German. The description itself is however, yet only available in German. Perhaps, we need someone at our staff to update all skills in English as well... ;)
If you have Nightfall, you will be one of the lucky ones who can play a 130hp-dervish. This Link (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build:D/Mo_130hp_Dervish) explains everything I guess :D .
Also he shows you many Bosses, you can farm with these Build. But some of them a very hard, because the groups of enemys, you meet before the boss often have Mesmers, who removes your entchantments.

Ps: I hope you can forgive me my mistakes. I'm a pupil :p.
now about dye farming...
Which is the best place for dye farming? I heard about pre-searing, but up til now, I haven't found any dyes...Please...a little piece of advice:)
Dyes used to drop in pre-searing Ascalon more often than elsewhere - so was at least the feeling of many players. Personally, I was lucky to get 3 times a black dye drop with my various Tyrian born characters in the catacombs fighting spiders. ;)
Last weekend was special. The dye drop rate was tripled.
what is farming? a place where I can breed my minions? :D
Edit by Rashnu: GuildWiki definition: Farming is the killing of monsters for the purpose of gathering items, experience, gold, Faction, or promotion points and is considered to be one of the quickest and easiest ways to amass wealth.

A farm is a place where either crops grow or livestock is bred for (usually) human consumption.
E.g. a chicken farm is a farm where chickens are bred for their meat, while an egg farm has chickens to lay eggs.

Ok, a bit more seriously:
The Underworld is a fairly popular farming place for warriors, among other professions.
In the warrior's case, a popular build uses Vengeful Was Khanhei as the main source of killing, backed up by vengeful weapon for finishing off lone grasping darknesses/smite crawlers, as well as the main weapon against dying nightmares.(which die after two vengeful weapons)
Ok, so to start off, we'll enter the Underworld as usual.
Accepting the quest that the spirit has then running back to the waterside.
Then we start aggroing the Grasping Darknesses that have spawned in the room, while making sure *not* to aggro the Bladed Aatxe(they'll kill you fast), though it'll practically impossible to aggro all three groups without aggroing an aatxe. In which case we'll want to use a speed enhancing skill(such as Sprint) to lose their aggro while keeping that of the Grasping Darknesses(which have a permanent 33% movement speed bonus).
After we have 3 to 4 Grasping Darknesses attacking our Warrior, we'll start attacking one of them with regular attacks untill our Bonetti's Defence is charged. Then we use Bonetti's Defence to regain our energy as well as having a cover against the disrupting blows that are bound to come when we cast Vengeful Was Khanhei.
Rinse, lather and repeat untill all 3 groups of Grasping Darknesses are dead.
After which we'll wait till our health and energy is full, before running to the North, out of the room, and to the north-east. Be sure to use Sprint or a similiar skill to lose the Aatxe's aggro.
We'll reach a open space where we turn North, dodging Aatxe and Graspings as we do so. Eventually we'll see Smite Crawlers turning up on the radar, at which point the Aaxte and the Graspings will stop following us if we approach.
Be sure *not* to attack a Smite Crawler after the initial pull, since there's a fair chance that they'll cast Shield of Judgment. And even though Smites are monks, they'll only use Smiting Prayers. So we can just endure their attacks while letting Vengeful Was Khanhei do it's work. Using Dolyak Signet and/or "Watch Yourself!" helps reduce the damage you take.
We'll continue further to the north after the first group of smites, and continue to explore this area, killing smites along the way.
Be sure *not* to aggro the Coldfire Nights that patrol the area.
They are Water Elementalists with a favour towards slowing skills.
So unless you're lucky, they'll kill you.
Each run takes about half an hour with between 0 and 3 ectos dropping per run, depending on how lucky you are.
I myself was very lucky this weekend with two runs giving superb drops.
And they happened to be the only two runs that I made this weekend.
Friday night I got: 2 ectos and 1 ruby.
Saturday night I got: 3 ectos and 1 rare.
