Soul Travel

Does anyone know how to cancel out of the Soul Travel "spell?" I used it and I just continue to wander around, but no combination of keys that I pressed cancelled the spell or put me "back in body." Anyone else experience this?

I think I re-entered my body and pressed the right mouse button. It was a little tricky though.

I've never used Soul Travel. What are the benefits?

I don't know, I think you can explore the suroundings without being seen, go through locked doors, etc.

not locked doors, but traviling through enemies for example to find the short way to a king in a city.
