But of course you can. In C:/Documents And Settings/User/My files/gothic 3
are your saves, quicksave plus your options.

Did you copy the whole content of the savegamefolder?

The exact thing also happens with Gothic 2.
Here is the solution.
1) Find your main current SAVE folder (which includes the save games in it.)
2) Delete that (current) SAVE folder within the save games
or
Cut the (current) SAVE folder somewhere else, out of the Gothic 3 game folder.
3) THEN, you should copy your old SAVE folder to the game folder (that just removed to the current one.)
4) Thus,
you will be able to see the older save games,
whenever you open the LOAD GAME title, in the game. ;)
well actually I didnt I had a whole lot of save games, so I only took 4 files, which I thought was essential:
G3_World_01_0036.g3sav (65kb)
G3_World_01_0036.g3savdat (4203kb)
G3-PHILIPS-20061030-175104.dmp (3950kb)
UserOptions.ini (5kb)

What do you mean exactly by that?
You mean,
you copied (and added naturally) 4 older savegames,
into the current SAVE folder (which includes the save games)
and they were not seen in LOAD GAME title, while you were playing???
yeah, exept that I could "see" it, but it was only a empty save game. Like it was there but I couldnt load it.

Hmm... Just like my guess.
Okay,
If you do these steps,
your problem about savegames will solve.
In other words,
the game realizes the savegames and shows them to you, when you load them. :p ;)
Allright. One by one...
1) Create a Folder (i.e.) on your desktop
and name it "Saves".
2) Put all the save games you want to play into this new Save folder.
You should put the savegames in this step.
Not later.
3) Go to your Gothic3 folder whereever you installed it. (C or D part of Disc)
4) Open Gothic3 folder and find inside, the Saves folder.
5) Remove "that Save folder" with savegames in it.
You shouldn't remove only the savegames.
You should also remove the Save Folder. The most important part...
6) And last thing... Put there your new Save folder just created.
This should...no... MUST help your problem. I'm quite sure of it.
Finally...
Play and enjoy the game :p ;)
yeah! it worked thanks ^^
