So I've liberated Cape Dun, and done the quests in the rebel base. Also I've done some exploring and random quests around Ardea and Cape Dun. Now that my questlog reads 3 things: Fire Chalices, about Xardas, and about the Palladin's sword in Montera, I really don't know what to do, or where to go. I mean the palladin's sword points out to Montera, but being a sidequest I don't think that's the place to be next. Would be nice if the rebels could've pointed out a next base where I could be of help.

Any ideas? or has the game bugged and left me without a destination? The rebel way seems to be harder missionwise anyway. It's a lot easier to find something to do from the orcs and the mercs. But not being a big fan of the slaveri I though I'd join the rebelling party. Perhaps the next run i'll be a Orc merc.

Montera is the next logical place simply because you pretty much have to go near there before being able to go many places else.

there is only really one way off the coastal region into the mid region and thats through the mountain pass which just happens to go past montera.
(if you travel properly that is and heed the warnings given about orcs surrounding Venguard, or illogically swim for miles into the desert regions.)

But you dont need to go there.... you can go anywhere you like.
