Gothic 2 cheats don't work.

I have g2 for a time now i ended the game with a mage,paladin and dragonhunter.i tried the cheats severall times troughout the game but they dont work,is there someting i must do to make the cheats work???§danke

yeah i activatid it a MILION times it just wont work...

Please... use the edit button.

And with "cheats don't work" isn't exactly saying a lot.
There isn't something you must change/add to the Ini.

And if the linked page isn't helping, then I don't think that I can help even more without resorting to the "tell-a-5-year-old-kid-what-to-do" explanation.

To activate the cheat mode in Gothic II, open the character's status window, type "marvin" (without the quotation marks) und close the window.
And make sure that the keys M,A,R,V,I und N may not close the window. (charactus status window)
(it should say Marvin-Mode in the upper-left corner)
After that try pressing F8.
If if done properly, your character should "jump" in the air.

If so then you have to press F2 to enter the console and type in the cheats.

Are you sure that the keys M,A,R,V,I,N do not close the stats window? or you could try the cheats from the stat window itself, for example, instead of "marvin" write "guardian", and that's it, you're invincible, I always use the "clock" cheat, it's really helpful, specially with things like the bonus one-handed with Wulfgar, the trainer of the militia in the barracks.
