Help with Alchemy

I've learned Alchemy, but everytime I was to use the couldron I get the message "You are not al Alchemist".

Is it anything else I have to do to become an Alchemist?

I have 7 plants which increase DEX with +2, and I want to make potions from them.

I think that permanent potions require the "brew Potion" skill, not Alchemy. Haven't gotten that far myself but that's what I've read.

Brew potions is the skill you need to interact with cauldrons or laboratory stations. Alchemy skill only enhance the intensity of the temporary buffs potions.

Thanks, you were right, I needed to learn brew potions. And also to have the proper recipy.
