You can make alot of weapons, you make them at a smith but you must learn them at a blacksmith. :)

The name is given when you learn, first one is simple sword if i remember corectly and you make them in a second, just buy a raw steel -> put it on fire -> and go to smith and the menu will appear ;)

You can learn this from Harad if you are his aprentice in chapter 1:

Sword - 2 LP
Fine Sword - 4 LP
Fine Longsword - 6 LP
Ruby Blade - 8 LP
El Bastardo - 10 LP

Harad also pays for these swords you make, and he pays pretty good ;) You can ask Bennet for steel, he has alot.

This you can learn from Bennet:

Sword - 2 LP
Ore Longsword - 4 LP in chapter 2
Ore Two-Hander - 4 LP in chapter 2
Heavy Ore Two-Hander - 6 LP in chapter 3
Ore Bastard Sword - 6 LP in chapter 3
Ore Battle Blade - 8 LP in chapter 5
Heavy Ore Battle Blade in 8 LP - chapter 5
Ore Dragon Slayer - 10 LP in chapter 5
Large Ore Dragon Slayer - 10 LP in chapter 5

To forge the weapons, you have to learn them, and then go to a smithy, use the steel in the fire, then go to the anvil and select what weapon you want to make.

Do keep in mind that only a mercenary/dragonhunter can smith the ore weapons.
