Gothic 1: Killing Bullit?

I have become a Shadow in the Old Camp and have gained entrance to the castle. When I go into the building across from Gomes' hall I meet a guard named Bullit. He is not an nice acquintance and says he´s going to kick my ass. A fight breaks out whether I want it or not. Can I kill him without risking consequences later in the game?

you can kill him right away!:)
or...
wait till the final of the game, were you are poerfull, and then he says your strong now and it will be dificult, and then you just fight him, and kill him!:D
