Hallo,
wollte heute seit langem erstmals wieder Oblivion spielen. Dies scheiterte, weil die eingelegte CD nicht gefunden wurde. Nach Neustart kam zunächst die CD aber statt des Spielstartes wurde das CD-Laufwerk abgeschaltet. Nach Deinstallation ist eine Neuinstallation nun nicht möglich, weil das CD-Laufwerk abgeschaltet bzw. nicht auffindbar ist. Woran liegt das bzw. was kann ich tun, um dies zu beheben?
Wenn´s klappt, kann ich eine dxdiag hochladen, was vllt hilfreich für Eure Hilfsvorschläge ist. Danke im Voraus

Ich glaube nicht, dass das ein Oblivion-Problem ist. Geh mal in den Gerätemanager und schau nach, ob dein DVD-Laufwerk überhaupt noch da ist.

Ich tippe auf einen Totalausfall deines DVD-Laufwerkes. Schau aber sicherheitshalber nach, ob alle Stecker sauber in deinem DVD-Laufwerk sitzen.

Die Steckverbindungen sind einwandfrei. Auch wird im Gerätemanager das Laufwerk G für das CD-Laufwerk angezeigt, wenn ich z. B. ein andere Programm-CD einlege. - Ganz so einfach ist es wohl doch nicht!

Bei der CD handelt es sich um eine vollständige Oblivion-Sammlung - Spiel des Jahres Edition mit zwei Discs - incl. Knights of the Ninie und Shiverings Isles von Bethesda und Software Pyramide PC DVD, made in EU: 4 012160 450294 - falls das hilfreich ist.

Komisch ist, dass eine Internetverbindung hergestellt wird, die jedoch nicht für mich ersichtlich ist und das erst angezeigte Laufwerk G ganz verschwindet oder als nicht ansprechbare Verknüpfung unter dem HD-Laufwerk für Spiele angezeigt wird.

ps.: Bei einem Neustart wird das Laufwerk sammt Pfad angezeigt und der Start des Programmes ist möglich. Später verschwindet es dann wieder. Bei meinem alten Rechner hatte ich mal ein ähnliches Problem. Da konnte ich die Festplatte auf den fabrikneuen Zustand zurücksetzen. Das geht ja bei den neueren Rechnern nicht mehr. Auch scheint es mir doch sehr Aufwendig, alles noch einmal neu zu installieren, um solche komischen Probleme zu beheben. Hat einer eine bessere Idee?
