Well, that's another question from me. Hope you don't mind.

Normally I'm being told that if you want to block your Gothic game from using .vdf files, you have to rename then. But, because of that you also have to unpack all the necessary files. I would NOT like to do that. I make changes to original textures and would love to keep my _Work folder clean and only contain my own, modified files. Unfortunately this way if I modify an already existing file in a .vdf, my file will be ignored by Gothic. I'd love to know then if I can force Gothic to look up for textures and files in the _WORK folder FIRST, and only after that in .vdf files. Is that possible at all?

Also, is there a list of commands used in Gothic.ini file?

Good morning dear Caesum!

As far as I know, you won't get Gothic to work that way.
Gothic was originally not made to get modified. And after
the MDK was released, modders have been told to rename
VDF-files for modding-purpose. If there had been another
easy way, we would know that, right? Just backup your
_work directory and have fun with textures. Pack everything
into one single VDF-file afterwards and have fun.
