Mondgesange PORTAL translation project

Hello everibody! You know what time it is? No? It's time for another german to english eXecutioner translation.

Now I want to translate the PORTAL page at Mondgesange.de. It shoulnd't be that hard, and maby Roi will update his site with an english page for the portal.

But, enough with all the chatting, and let's get to work.

And a thing, I don't need help on this trust me. If you do find something odd in my translation do please send me a PM.

First, you could translate the word "Urshi" also. I don't know what it means.....

But the main question is why you opened a this thread ? You could send a PM to Roi with the translation you know... And you can also respect the rules of the forum and don't double post... ;) :D Now seriousily, it looks like you speak with yourself or is a thread only for you.....

First, Urshi is a name, nothing to translate there.

Second, the sense of this thread is to show the translation here, so everyone who find a mistake in it has the chance to correct it.

Ok, I didn't know that, thanks Werner.
I figure out the sense of this kind of thread, but only with complicated translations... i don't think this is the case..... Most of the german words look like the ones in english, but anyway, that was just my opinion...

Just a small comment: 'Portal' is also an English word, and used to refer to the entrance page of a website, so I'd say don't change it to 'home' or anything like that. 'Portal' sounds good.

What's to program? It's just a simple html page with some graphics and 2 links on it ;)
The problem would be what graphics to add. But you already have a banner and stuff like that so it shouldn't be a problem(imo).

The problem is that Hamster must make new graphics with english letters. And if we should make Urshi on the english page then all dialogues must be translated.
I´m working at 3 places on mondgesaenge. I should finish some work before i can translate the portal site.
Hamster could has same problems.

And I agree, the little orc named Urshi is kinda hard to change his script from german to english.

Thank you for your efforts, eXecutioner.

The main problem is that most of the content is only available in german at the moment. There is no much use of an english main page if all links lead to german sub pages. This could be changed in the future, if more and more parts of the page will be translated. Roi told me that the english G*DBs is doing well, so I guess this will happen one day. :)

It is true that for a simple .html-file not much "programing" is needed. But some of the images on the page had to be changed and, unfortunately, the original photoshop files got lost when my computer was stolen last year, so it would be some work do to that. §gnah

Translating Urschis Dialog would be much work too. Urschi can say 823 sentences, and the user has 749 answers. You can see the whole Dialog file here (http://www.mondgesaenge.de/PORTAL/dialog.xml).

So I think that translating the portal is probably not worth the trouble now, but it could be useful or necessary some day.
