GTA 2 Problem

Hello,

I downloaded GTA 2. Don't worry it's legal. The producer has put it free on theyre site.

I install the game and after I enter the game I can't hear the sound. Can't install the latest patch because it sais I don't have GTA 2 installed o_0.

I run Windows XP SP2 and I have the configuration to run the game :).

Latest DirectX 9.0c and sound drivers.

Help!

Anyway, have you tried at least to play arround with the settings from the game?

It's not pirated!!! It's only an old game made free by the developer. I played around, still no luck. I will restart and see what happens.

BTW! GTA 1, also downloaded legaly, works like a charm. What gives?

I got the original version of GTA 2 (cd version :P)
So I'll give it a try at patching.
It works fine on my Windows XP Professional SP 2. (I think)
And it works fine even though it doesn't support the newer windows versions. o.0

Can't find any patches at all. >_>

And the weird thing is that the official GTA 2 website has 2 countdown clocks and the date of 24 may...
I wonder why...
I did find the patch there though.
Which works perfectly for me...
