gothic 1 - 3 big switches in sleepers temple

i have defeated seveal skeletons and entered a room with 3 switches. i turn them in all different order but no door opens. there are there doors in the main hall, one a little below, at the entrance, and two close to each other. to the right i killed a minecrawler with my crossbow.
is there any order to turn the switches?

Can you please make a screenshot? I find it very hard to imagine that place from a description only. The temple is quite similar in most places.

Do you mean those large column-like switches that have different colors?Well,if that's so,you should try to activate them in order.If that doesn't work,try all ways.(left - center - right or center _ right - left or whatever you want)

Jup i have the same problem but i dunno how to open a big gate where is a skeleton mage and few or several skeletons...
and jhonnybravo can u tell me how did u solved this problem

Hmmm... do you mean that location where are skeletons, a skeleton mage and after those you come by 2 gates? Well, if is this, then look at the picture between the 2 gates! You can see 3 signs, remember their order! Then go in the room with the 3 column-switches and try them in the order indicated in the picture. (you can see that every switch is marked by one of those signs). Hope i helped you... If not, give us more hints...
