I've recently installed the QP 4.2 and CM 2.3 and since then I get a lot of where's the gurus (especially when I teleport) and everytime (when I'm ingame) I load a savegame an error mesage pops up which says: the genome system has stopped working.

specs:

AMD dual-core 64 6000+ (3.01 Ghz)
4 gigs of RAM
ATI HD 4870X2
Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit (with kernel hack so I can use my full 4 gigs of RAM without upgrading to 64 bit)

I know where's the guru means that you've run out of memory but with 4 gigs of RAM this can't be the case because I've been able to play this game without problems with only 2 gigs of RAM.

EDIT

The where's the guru problem occurs when I teleport twice (time inbetween the 2 teleports doesn't matter, it happens). It also occurs at random. It can be 5 minutes before it occurs but sometimes I can play for an hour or so before it occurs again.

Nobody knows why hence no response, teleporting should actually clean your RAM so it is strange that it causes guru problem, do you always teleport to the same places? If so try a different one.

I would try setting game to the lowest gfx options, and see if the problem will still be there.

It doesn't matter where I teleport it always happens the second time I teleport.

Tried on the very lowest settings. All the sliders to the left. Still happens....

Maybe use older video card drivers if you had updated it then reverse to the ones that had worked.

Okay I've just tried that and it seems to 'delay' the where's the guru problem but it still happens after some time. the genome system has stopped working problem is still there.
