g2 notr - how can i join thieves guild?

i ve completed 3 missions and did not turn in the thieves involved - brazen thief, bandit raids and false messenger.
but i cant go to kardif so he tells me to meet Mr Attila who should be near Edda.
I am playing G2 again, this time as a magician (though i did not join fire mages yet). Level 13 currently.

I didn`t quite understand your problem.
"you can`t go to kardif so he tells you to meet Atille"? I don`t understand a lot from this. Meet Atille, then, and he`s supposed to give you the key to the sewers.

thats the problem.

i cant meet Mr Attila who should be near Edda, behind Halvor shop, before I talk to Kardiff after completing the 3 missions related to burglary. But Kardif, when I contact him, does not tell me to meet Attila.
This is the problem - How do I make Kardif tell me to Meet Attila?

I'm sorry but i can't remember exactly what quests do you have to do in order to start this chain of events but i think there was one more than 3. Maybe someone else will help you ...

OK, now I understand the problem :p
There were 3 quests if I remember well. I don`t know what you missed. Maybe it`s a bug :confused:

A possibility is that you didn`t take the right dialogue options.

Judging by the thread title, you want to join the thieves guild, right? You only need to reload an older savegame, and turn in Rengaru to the militia. You`ll duel Attille then, you take his key, you enter the sewers, you talk to the thieves` leader (you`ll notice her) and pick the right dialogue options so that you join the thieves.

The meet of Attile is triggered by Nagur quest, ether you betray him or not, not by Rengaru (from my experience)
@johnnybravo1, you are sure that you have finished the quest with Nagur? Maybe there are more dialogs with him, if not, I think is a bug. You can try to reload an older savegame (if you have one) as @SirPaladin sayed and do the quest again.

additionally, i am very far in the game now, several hours of playing. there must be something to solve it.

Of course there is a way ;) Actually i remember that i had this similar problem and i just inserted the key from Atilla. When i entered the sewer they acted like i received the key from Atilla(i was trying to do all the thief quests). I cheated in order to join them.

Do the following :

Press B(character stats)
type marvin
Press B again
Press F2(console)
Type insert ItKe_ThiefGuildKey_MIS
Press Enter and then F2 again
Press B
Type 42
Press B again

is this the key to the swers or of Hannas door? Anyway it did not work (Gothic 2 Night of the raven) though it gave a message "inserted".
And it does not appear in the inventorry as well.
I have sent Canthar to prison. Is there any connection so I am not allowed to find Attila?

It is the key from the sewers door. you should find it on Attila's body(or he should give it you).

When the text "inserted" appears then it means that the key appeared just in front of the hero. So search for it.

You have to turn Rengaru over to the militia, then he will say "My friends are not going to like this!"
After that, Atilla should meet you behind that fish shop :)

Actually i think this is a bug.Many times i trigered the events in order to meet Attila but he just wasn't there.Basicaly all you have to do in order for Attila to apear is to do "A brazen thief " quest. However sometimes it doesn't work.

Did you do the something is fishy quest???It starts when you find a fish with a letter on the body of a bandit that is located in the cave where the ship of that farmer is taken in further chapters...

I know this is an old thread but I am pretty sure to trigger attilia you need to talk to halvor about the wierd fish. if you ain't done the right quest, you don't got the fish.

a) helped Nagur, Rengaru and Halvor or
b) betrayed at least one of them, so that he gets into prison.
So only giving Halvor the note from the fish won't be enough to make Attila appear.
