how to solve ciphers swampseed quest

Gothic 2 Night of the Raven, English 2.7
i stayed near bodo, the suspect of stealing Mr Ciphers swampseed, but he just sits on a bench near the barn at Onars farm.
I can´t find any other suspects but the one mentioned by Cipher (Bodo) but it seems to lead nowhere.
Is Mr Cipher mistaken and he is accusing his buddy falsely? Mr Bodo will sure sue him for that.

Uh-Oh. Mr Dar has died at chapte one, during a confrontation with Skeletons. I ran from these undead, because I was a weakling at that time, and they approached the farm. Mr Dar fought them (bravely, I must say) but was outnumbered and, wounded many times, fell to the ground and they finished him off.

And now that this thief is dead, how can I complete the quest?

I just hate pending quests.

You have to go to Khorinis to the storehouse at the harbor. Kill the guard that "defends" the house and take his key. There's a chest for this key. In this chest, you find the swampsheet. Bring it to Cipher.

Thanks, but how should I know this? The info does not come naturally in the game, does it?
On the other hand, I have stored many swampseed stalks, why aren´t they to be delivered to Cipher?

If I caught that right,you would know it if Mr Dar(ha ha ha it's the first time I see someone call an NPC Mr)§xlol was still alive you see:p

That's just different items in the game.

naturally, if you talk with Dar, you ask him about Ciphers swampweed, and you can see that he stole it. If you beat him up, and ask him again, he will say that he sold the swampweed in the harbour, but he doesn't know to whom (storehouse in harbour). This is how you find out about the package.

Optional you can say to Cipher that Dar took his weed, you get some EXP, and Cipher beats Dar.

You can bring the package to Cipher and sell it, he gives you gold and exp.

If Dar is dead, there shouldn't be a problem if you just get the package to Cipher.

It's a shame Dar is dead, later: you can get a nice item from him at another quest.

I kill Dar in chapter 2 in any case. Never knew if he was important...he looks stupid to me :p

Do not kill Dar untill the end.Everytime you create a new breed of tobaco give it to him and he will give you some nice xp.

You can make apple tobaco , honey tobaco ,weed tobaco, mushroom tobaco etc.it's a brewing :).
