Hi guys, long time no see. I've been very busy this couple of months, both with my studies and with work, so I didn't have much time to work on this. Now I do, kinda, a little bit, so I madethis:
I though that, since we don't see any forge or way for the orcs to have the kind of swords and axes that they have, it would be logical for them to have more crude forms of weapons. I know it's not much. There are other things I've been doing and I'll show'em to you guys when they're finished.

Sincerely, I've got no idea. I wish I could work on this project every day, but reality is different and, regrettably, I've got responsibilities in my life to attend to. So for me it is really hard to give a date, however approximate it may be, because I simply don't know, and I don't want to raise anyone's expectations in vain. I hope you'll understand.

I cant find 'GothicStarter.exe' in system's folder, i see only 'Gothic starter_mod'... Also when i try to install MDK some options are already marked: Skripte, Welten, Meshes and Texturen... i unmark them all and leave only G2MDK which i cannot click it anyway or leave it as it is by default...??

Hi guys, long time no posting :P. I wanted to tell you that the mod is very much alive and I'm still modeling/scripting/texturing like a madman. However, I need some help from the community, that is, you guys. Since I'll be replacing almost every weapon in the game and I'll be adding helmets I WILL need help with the balancing and with finding swords that differentiate from one another.
Another thing is that I'm not THAT good with the creating textures part of the job and maybe I'll need some help in that department also.
Soon I'll be uploading another alpha release so stay tuned!

I plan on replacing ALL swords in the game, and perhaps adding a few more. Bows and crossbows are a different story, though, and I won't replace them. Not for now anyway.

will you do the same system, as it was in one mod or patch (can't remember which one...) where every close combat weapon had different balancing (I mean damage and requirements). e.g. :
weapon - damage - requirement(str/dex) - value - who wields it (e.g.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Heavy Branch - 10 - 10 strength - 1 - goblin
2. Heavy Branch - 12 - 13 strength - 2 - black goblin
3. Heavy Branch - 15 - 17 strength - 5 - skeleton goblin
and so on, with other most common close combat weapons like Spiked Club, Short Militia sword, sword, bandit sword. and to make it even more complicated each of those should have different range as well - heavy branch with 15dmg would be longer than the one doing only 10 damage 
some weapons imho should have double requirements, e.g. most powerful weapons - strength & dexterity.

There was also a mod, in which there were 3 different kinds of the same weapon:
3 different heavy branches;
1.cracked heavy branch 9dmg 10str 50% to get this one.
2.(normal) heavy branch 10dmg 10str 40% to get this one.
3.sturdy heavy branch 11dmg 10str 10% to get this one.
something like that.
Range and requirements were the same but the weapons were sometimes better than others.
I dont know which modder it was. Or which mod. Was it you?

that saw-sword, seen in the pic above, IMHO is the worst creation of DRMProd - looks really funny. Hope you'll stick to REAL weapons

BTW I heard about dual wielding eing implemented in your mod. (My own thread.)
If it's true please tell me how much of it you've done.
No need to tell me it's harder than I think: scripting , creating new animations that seem apropriate to dual wielding... must be REALLY hard..

The mod is still alive, but alas, in a hiatus. I'm currently in a bad economic situation and I'm kind of working my ass off. Let me paraphrase: THE MOD IS NOT DEAD! 
About dual wielding: I don't remember saying anything about implementing it on my mod. That doesn't mean I won't, it just means I don't know if I will or how difficult it can be.
By the way, I really do appreciate all the support you guys give me and all the other modders out there. Keep it up!
