Blocked Quest: "Trials for the masters" in the volcano fortress

Symptom:

You completed all your trials and all other quests in the volcano fortress and still cannot talk to Ingatius about becoming a mage/order warrior. You are stuck in the fortress.

Explanation:

This is a bug that is triggered if you tell Ignatius that Pallas had no task for you before Pallas really said that.

Workaround:

Load a previous savegame, then:

1. Don't be fooled by Pallas saying that he currently has nothing for you.
2. Complete the "gate quest"
3. Talk to Pallas about your trials
* If he gives you a task, complete it
* If he says: "There is nothing you can do for me", you're good
4. After that, when Pallas has nothing more to say, go to Ignatius and report about Pallas' trial.

Is this a quest which is part of the main quest or something with a very great reward - continued chained ?

As I completed all of the Trials from the Masters, I cant complete it at Ignatius obviously for the given reason above.

This is frustrating and if it is a very important quest this will make me quit the game as I've spent a lot of time doing those quests ...


Questions :
1.) Is there a way around to fix it besides the load to a previous long ago save?

2.) is there a patch coming that will fix this?, and if so - will it require the start of the whole campaign all over again ?
