ok. i've played this G1 mod and i liked it very, very much. i played that version of chapter one that was made available, with the english beta translation. now i would like to now what else has been done on this great mod! you german people surely must know more on it! i saw on the german version of WoG that Diccuric is 400 megs. the version i downloaded was about 100, so does the german version include more than just the first chapter?

The large file is only the optional speech in German - not a sequel. The version is the same as the one you played. You can download this speech file and play Diccuric in German with English subtitles. Perhaps it has a better atmosphere when the people really say something.

Installation:
1. Diccuric_Setup.exe
2. Diccuric_Sprachausgabe.exe
3. Diccuric_Patch2final.exe
4. English subtitles

TAGMT (homepage) is developing Diccuric with the open source engine Ogre (not as a Gothic modification). It will include the story of the Gothic mod Diccuric.
I have no idea when they will finish it ("It's done when it's done").
But I am very sure that an English translation will follow.

i can't remember. i played it over 3 or 4 days i think, but i can't tell you how many hours per day! but it was long enough, for a mod at least! i totaly recomand it!

Install or unzip all files into the Gothic-Folder:

1. Install the Player Kit 1.08k (GothicStarter)
2. Install Diccuric_Setup.exe
3. The German speech is optional (Diccuric_Sprachausgabe.exe or Diccuric_kleine_Sprachausgabe.exe, the second one is more compressed)
4. Install Diccuric_Patch2final.exe
5. Unzip the English subtitles (beta) into your Gothic folder.

After this you'll have to start Diccuric (and Gothic too!) with GothicStarter.exe which is located in the Folder ..\gothic\system\.

You may install the speech later, but then you will have to reinstall the English subtitles (otherwise they and the patch would not be loaded).

So i install all files that are marked yellow in the text in the Program files/Jowood/Gothic2 and after that i run them?

Oups! You need Gothic 1. Diccuric will not work with Gothic 2.

You have to download these files and install them in the order I listed.
1 - 4 are Installers and 5 is a ZIP-package.

As destination folder always select the gothic folder.

Only the last file does not include such a programm. Afaik you have to unpack the .ini files into the PiranhaBytes/Gothic/system folder and the .mod file into PiranhaBytes/Gothic/Data/ModVdfs.

Now start the gothic Starter (PiranhaBytes/Gothic/system/GothicStarter.exe) and chose "Diccuric Part 1 English Beta2" or "Diccuric Part 1 English Beta2 without nature animation" and click on the Start-Button.

ok i insatll all of them exeprt the last one. Gut in gothic starter i only have
g1 incon not diccuric

And are you sure that you have run the right Gothic-Starter (I think there are two, one in \Gothic and one in \Gothic\System)?

And are you sure, that diccuric has really been installed in the right directory? (is there a "Diccuric.ini" in \Gothic\System?)

Edit: If I were you I would install the last file, too, as you probably don't understand a word without the Englisch subtitles.

and yes there are two new icons on desktop, one is gothic mod, abd the other is gothic
