[Sneeper]

On my way to Xardas tower i come across a Stone Golem, i know i can only kill it with a hammer so i brought a Orc Hammer, i drink a strenght potion so i can use it (exact requirement) but the Stone Golem doesn't get any damage when i hit him...

He always kills me, please help.

When i drink the remaining 2 strenght potions i have i can do like 1% damage to his life per hit..
So it appears i don't do enough damage with melee.. what kind of fucking RPG is this? An RPG that forces you to be decent at melee to complete a main quest?
Grrr, did this game just screw me over?

You are at the point where you have to kill the thing, right? You should have gone to the library at the Water mages' and should have read in a book that it is weak to War Hammer strikes. So just buy it at Sharky ('bout 1024 nuggets), go there and chop it (LMB+A/D in case you didn't know). It will die after a bit of chopping, just don't get hit!

BTW: I don't remember there is a non-permanent potion of strength, so just go on and drink them all along with every other "Max Hitpoints+10", "Dex/Str+5" and "Max Mana+10" booze you were given.

The warhammer does only 1 point more damage then the orc hammer so that means i'm still fucked
If i use a cheat to kill the stone golem, will that somehow mess up my game?

Did you TRY it? Dunno, worked fine for me.
'bout cheating: press character tab [b] type "marvin" (without quotes) press [b] again. go to the golem that you see it selected (highlighted/name) press [F2] type kill [enter]. It should fall to pieces. [b]42[b] to turn testmode off.

But I say it ought to work, just try it.

Even if you do little dmg to the golem its enough cus you'll kill it eventualy he cant hit you if you hit him.
about the cheats no it wont : type : b marvin, f2 for the consloe, type kill for the kill

You guys don't seem to understand that i don't got any expertise in melee weapons so the golem does hit me. I don't have a combo..
Also i would have to hit him atleast 100 times

Dunno im certain that i'have killed the golem when i was a magi and i didnt learn combat but maybe ive spent 10 lp on combat dunno

Well, the stonegolem has 75 protection against blunt... (9999 vs. the rest)
So your totaly damage should be higher than 75 or you'll be in for a long fight.

Higher strength weapons you can use are:
Namibs Keule, Lesters Streitschlichter, Oruns Keule

All three of which are stronger than the götterhammer.
They do need at least 40 strength though...

Also, the steinbrecher isn't a very good weapon...
It needs more str than the götterhammer, for a lot less damage.

If you try it with a two-handed weapon, well, then you're pretty much screwed. There's only 7 blunt two-handers in the game, of which only 3 can be gotten. And of those three, only one is actually useful (Krush Karrok). Then again, by the time you actually get that one you'll be far beyond the stonegolem.

Dude, try spending some LPs and bettering the Hero. By ch4 you should have all the power you need to bring it down in 6-7 strikes. It is an RPG, different puzzles - different ways of solving. Maybe you don't like using melee combat - but that's the thing. In some cases you have to use it. And frankly, In G1, even without insane full clearing you can completely master two professions (eg. melee and magic) + some trivial skills, so it's no big waste to get your strength to at least about 60-70 and get some weapon training. I mean, if you find it hard here, dude - very soon you'll have to fight

Well a golem is a magic and strong creature. u say u have 21 strnght? are u kidding? this not stupid rpg but u cant kill sleeper firh fart or golem with so low strenht. no one can do that, try to be stronger!!!

Imagine, a game that forces you to develop your skills in order to survive? The world of the colony is intentionally made to be unforgiving. You need to develop your character effectively in order to get through it.
