I've come forward to express my feelings regarding this project, which are, to say the least, not as positive as everyone else's in here.
I'm rather puzzled as to what the real motivations were behind this new project. People in here claim their goal is solely to achieve a more complete version of KotOR2© so that all the fans worldwide could enjoy the game as it was intended to be, had Lucas Arts not intervened with its development process in such a harsh way. But I believe this is far from the truth, considering the aura of hate this project has been emanating against Team Gizka. Ever since the announcement, the Team Gizka's boards have been constantly harassed by individuals whose sole purpose is to compare the talented work we've been doing for the past years with this new restoration project which, to be honest, offers much less than what we've aimed for. What TSLRP™ aims is to achieve a gaming experience that is worthy of appraisal by not only hardcore gamers but even the casual player that just feels like grabbing the game and playing it for what it is, without worrying about glitches and code malfunctions due to incompetence on the modder's part, something that TSLRCM's so called "coders" seem to be allusive whenever asked about.
This brings another interesting point though, the coding part. It has come to my attention that this version of the restoration project shares a good amount of content exclusive to TSLRP™, including a few good lines that were not available in the 1.0b8 leaked beta a year ago, but present on the 1.0b11, which is puzzling me. But this is something that I will not bother to discuss in here with the likes of you, instead I will be seeking legal advice on this matter.
I also find it annoying that TSLRCM's "fame" is only due to TSLRP™ existence (the true Restoration Project), and yet TSLRCM's folks never in any way express thankfulness to us on this regard. Had TSLRP™ never exited for all these years, KotOR2© would've had the same fate as any other incomplete game in history. It's only due to our efforts that KotOR2© is constantly remembered as a game with great unused potential and worthy of been played nowadays so long after its debut. Whenever someone talks, remembers or sees Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords©, the first thought that comes to mind is the efforts of a team of very talented modders dedicated solely to perfecting an already great game into a better game worthy of being called a Piece of Art. So the least this little mod of your could do, is to pay homage to Team Gizka's efforts for all these years of hard work.
