Hahaha!! man you're really into it!
I would say: Let them do it! I am sure if Deep Silver wants to do a contest, it will be for all english speakers, so long as the fans are doing the contest they can do it in whatever language they want! don't get upset.

Lo there do I see my father,
Lo there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers,
Lo there do I see the line of my people - back to the beginning,
Lo they do call to me,
They bid me take my place among them
In the halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave may live... forever.

Hi Ralf
Im curious are those calendar swords planned to be short or longswords?
Thanks
-
Hi Ralf, this is going to be a question which concerns gothic 3.
How many dragons where there ? I only found four, were there any else ?
-
Hi, Ralf.
So Risen will have swamp. And my question is about the music. Will the music there be more like in Gothic 1 or NotR?
Oh, and another one. What do you think of "A Clockwork Orange"?

I have a question regarding combat:
will damage dealt with swords be a fixed number of dmg points per swing with a fixed formula? (ie melee dmg = (str+wepdmg)*skill or sth like that(same for ranged or spelldmg)) or will we have some variance in dmg (ie some blows will deal some less dmg and some others more? I dont refer to charged strikes, but same attack having dmg variance). And if we have variance will it be on starting lvls only like in G1 or all the way?

OK, now I have more questions.
Will the console version of Risen influence the PC version?
I do not want the game to become easier to make sure the Halo-kids of America will be able to finish it! I do not want the PC controls being handicapped by the console version! I do not want to see textures being smaller/blurrier because they have to fit in 512 MB RAM (Xbox 360..)!
Will you do the PC version first and then port it for the Xbox 360?
The other way around and the PC version is bound to suffer.

OMFG the screenshots looks awesome...
Question:
Will the game plot be freelancer-type (Gothic 3 - do what you want) or rather G1/G2 (less choices but much faster flowing with lots of surprising twists)?
-
shit! so after all we see screenshots but not from pc gamers but from console community!!! anyway, they look good.

Hi!
Sorry guys to give you the short end of the stick- but the last days have been a bit busy...
Okay- the first images from the aktual game have been published.
Hope you like what you see.
It will get even better soon...
Yeah- at the moment there is not much difference- we are still in the thick of it...
No, The PC version is developed here in Essen by PB. With the platform porting we are working very closely with an very nice and able team.
If any, the influence will be on the sunny side, since this will hopefully allow us the necessary time to polish ands debug the PC version even further.
We had a head start with the PC version- so you might not see too much of a downside.
The music is a very nice mix of what Kai could do with G3 and with G2.
Quite moody...
Clockwork orange? Oh I loved it! The book and the film. Two completely different animals- but I recently saw the new BluRay Transfer of the film and it looked amazing- and played better than I remembered.
Not to my knowledge. You should have found all...

I wish i`ve seen those screenshots from somewhere else but i must admit the game looks amazing. I can`t wait for it !!!!!
If the console version will be released in Q4 2009 then i guess we`ll get Risen for pc next summer
Ralf , are you still planning to release a demo version of the game?Geändert von TeLovesc (10.12.2008 um 12:46 Uhr)

Okay, everyone is so crazed after those screenshots but my questions is about movies. Any good movies you could suggest?
-
Ralf the ingame graphics are looking simply superb...The game competes the graphics of the new generation top games...
I hope the final version wont have any lagging or low frames.
And please tell me that with my Athlon X2 6000, 8800GT and 2 gigs of ram, i will be able to play on maximum with 30 frames...I am tired of these PC upgrades...
A question.
Those screenshots are taken ingame from the engine or they are rendered scenes in some 3d program?

The first screenshots release from G3 were released a whole lot before the game shipped. So it's only natural that it changed.
And I think there is also a big difference between doing screenshots with the game running in real-time and rendering screenshots with the graphics engine but not in real-time. So maybe that was the difference. I don't know.
But imo these look real enough, and capable of doing with todays technology.
And I'd also rather lie to myself and believe this is how it's gonna be in the end-game.

Sure thing is that its going to be different...I dont know if it will have better graphics or a bit lower...
The grass for example, some textures will be different...
One suggestion to Ralf...the ashbeast ingame looks very good.
But imo it would be cool to add some A channels textures of fur on the ashbeasts back.
Even if the texture of its body has fur, the model is smooth and it looks bold in the end.
