i`m sorry to revive such an old thread but i really wanna know whats going with the multiplayer project...they said that they were going to release it before gothic 3 , now that 2 years passed maybe they gonna release it before Arcania please

the guys started working on this project for almost 2 years (check the first thread) so i guess only developing the mod in "Paint" would take 2 years...
Imo the guy already forgot about this long time ago

Adding multiplayer functionality to a game with only singleplayer, non-network functionality without having full access to documentation and source code is no Sunday stroll in the park.

i agree but still , 2 years are enough i think,don`t you agree?
I can start from 0 programming and build a multiplayer mode for a game in 2 years,if i really devote myself to this and with a crew ,ofc

...and sometimes it is easier to start from scratch than trying to modify an already existing source code. Been there, done that.

Oh, I don't think my modest coding skills would be of any use in that project. I was merely speaking on a general level about programming.

Gothic is Rpg type,not a Multyplayer one.
I like to play old warcraft's than WOW,i prefered if it was Warcraft 4 than World of Warcraft.
