I have found a mod and its name is G2 Classic Mod.The mod is in German and I don't know germna.SO i want to know if the mod restores the attributes of the weapons and characters form G2 without the addon to NOTR.

No, it gives you the option to play the classic (nearly) without that you have to make a second installation.
(When you have NOTR installed, you can't play classic without a new installation of it.)

I have only the german version of the game, so i can only guess that it should work, just test it, or maybe Calin responde to this.

What means "to backup" my [g2addon]\System\Gothic2.exe?

It means keeping a copy of the original file Gothic2.exe. Just copy/paste it somewhere else in case it gets damaged or anything. If anything goes wrong just copy/paste/overwrite it back.

Hmm, maybe the file \Gothic II\Data\Worlds.vdf is write-protected?
Anyway, the classic-mod won't work right for the english version, because it uses german scripts.

However, could someone be so nice and upload the english Gothic.dat of G2 classic (without notr)?
I would like to compare it with the german version, or maybe make an english classic-mod, if somebody is interested and i have the time..

That means the G2 classic-mod is not 100% like G2 classic, because the addon-engine is somewhat different (and so the savegames are not compatible).

If you want an English G2, and want it to stay Englihs don't bother with this. I've just tested it, and it works, all the dialogs are in place, but the subtitles, and the dialogs options are all in German.
