Hello!

First time poster, long-time lurker

My question is: I have the US version of Gothic 3 and am encountering the horrible save game bug (memory loss error on drop to Windows); is the 1.09 patch for the US or is it Europe only? Are there any recommendations? Any help would be appreciated.

I've heard both that the 1.09 is not for the US version and that it helps with the save game bug on the US version. What should I do?

The patches are till now for every version, you can install 1.09, no problem.

I had the same question and found this link ... http://gothic3.aspyr.com/default/news/16 odd wording it looks to be saying that the NA version includes 1.09 out of the box and also, even applying the patch to the NA version will not cause any adverse effects.

Just recently purchased the NA version of the game myself, patched it with 1.09 before reading up on this and have yet to experience any save game issues.
No issues or messages when patching the NA version (it does say 1.9.25824 now) but I didn't check the version before applying 1.09

I read the Aspyr news release as well, but it was my understanding that the NA version was 1.08, and I know that I'm certainly experiencing those save game bugs. I read somewhere a week ago that a new NA patch is due out sometime soon; can this be confirmed?

Thanks again. If the 1.09 patch doesn't have any adverse affects on the NA version, maybe I'll patch my game with it and see what happens.

well it looks like we are all waiting for the new patch,waiting and waiting and waiting, and in about five years time we will finaly get it.

I can assure you it will not take five years for the next patch to come out.
