Zitat von Guzz
Because of some changes in d3dim700.dll file in Windows 10 1809, SystemPack can't patch it, so the resolutions higher 2048 pixels won't work.
Now that you say that I remember that this resolution used to work months ago when I was still on an older Windows version. I will try putting the respective legacy dll in the folder as per your instructions. Thank you.
-edit: I tried copying the file but for some reason it get's deleted somehow every time I try to run the game. Is that something the systempack does?
-edit2: Ok I had to disable the "FixHighRes" setting in systempack.ini, now the .dll doesn't get deleted and I can see G2 in all it's DX7 glory.

I am just wondering. I also have the GoG Version of G2 and I didn't know that it is possible to install it without NotR. How? NotR is installed automatically. Its one installer.
I also like Gothic 2 Classic more, but how did you find out, that you can mod the original game without to install the addon? Can you elaborate on this? I thought thats only possible by using the Gothic 2 Classic Mod Ressources for NotR.
Guzz already explained the first part.
Yeah, I read that it's impossible too. I just recently started modding so I am a beginner, but here's what I did:
Basically I decompiled the Gothic.dat of Gothic II Classic (from the original game, not Sargon) and tried to mod it by changing the scripts and then using the GothicStarter 2.6f to parse the scripts. So far so good. But when I put the new Gothic.dat in G2 Classic I was getting crashes. So next time I decided to parse with the Sourcer 3.14, I have read that it's not recommended (no idea why, works great for me, no bugs so far), but in order to do that I had to fix some errors in the original scripts, about 20 errors, most about lacking a return function. So that way it works, no problems.

Thanks Guzz, that was the reason I avoided the patch. I tried it but I get crashes after I install the systempack, I guess because I already modded the Gothic.dat, either way I created a Gothic.ini with the resolution that I want, I only have to copy and paste it each time before starting the game because the original ini resets the resolution if I put a res that it doesn't support.

Thanks for the explanation. Let us know when you have something to show. I'm interested in a mod like this.

Well my mod is based on lore however it's like my version of how things should be, basically I'm opening the world, to be much less linear and more sandbox like, deciding to either follow Xardas' instructions or go your own way and later on I will create some new npcs and put many from NotR with different dialogues. Kind of like Returning but on a much smaller scale and mainly quests, not many changes to aesthetics or the gameplay. But yeah, once I have something decent I can send you the file, only bad thing is many dialogues will be voiceless.
-
@young there is also a 3.15 version that also supports agamascripttools
-

Anhang 47354
Was habe ich gemacht:
- Gothic II Gold Edition + Nacht des Raben installiert
- gothic2_fix-2.6.0.0-rev2.exe installiert
- Gothic2_PlayerKit-2.8.exe installiert
- G2NoTR-SystemPack-1.7.exe installiert

Is there any chance to fix the video playback so it isnt black just with audio playing? I tried all stuff that wasrecommended including scale option in the gothic.ini set to 0 and nothing is fixing that problem so far. I am playing on Windows 7 64-bit
Also game crashes instantly with Access violation error when starting New game, in the very moment intro would play.

Two things you could try to avoid game crashes:
- Deactivate DEP (Data Execution Prevention), use Google if you don't know how
- Make sure that G-Sync is disabled in Nvidia Control Panel, in case you have a G-Sync capable monitor
(don't know whether AMD FreeSync also can cause problems)

Hi guys, first of all i wish to say thank you to everyone who worked on and contribute to systempack.
In one of previous posts Guzz mentioned that solution for forcing game to use discrete gpu instead of integrated is dgvoodoo 2 wraper.
I followed instructions for configuring dgvoodoo 2 and it worked, but now windows cursor is visible during gameplay.
Does anybody here had similar experience and know how to remove it?
