I need some help. I am replaying Gothic 3 and some how I have lost the first ancestor stone. The stone you get in Faring off Ali. I pick pocketed Ali for his chest key and then stole back the ancestors stone. I then gave the key to Rathgar ( Ali stole the stone from him) I went to the ancestors tomb and took the stone back from Rathgar. I decided that I should get the ancestor quest before I entered the tomb. The stone was in my inventory last time I seen it but now it is gone. The tombs all six have been successfully been defeated and the other stones placed except for this one. How can I get the missing stone back or make a new one??? help would be appreciated. Usually when you meet the first time Rathgar u give him the stone and he will return back to you when u return from Fire Clan. But as u said , u went to the tomb with the stone in your inventory and as long as u killed Ejnar the stone might 'transfered' to Rathgar inventory. Go beat him and u might find the stone there.

Thank You for responding to my post Denis Innos. The very first thing I did was to find Rathgar save the game then kill Rathgar to check his inventory no stone. Then I reloaded the save to restore Rathgar. I also went back down to Faring and went back to Ali's chest no stone. I found Ali and saved again then killed Ali to check his inventory no stone either. I searched inside the cave Tomb on the chance it may be lying around some where no stone. I have played this G3 game so much and never had this problem. I guess I will have to go back as far as I can with my earliar save's and hopefully be able to replay the Nordmare Tomb's again well thank you again Denis Innos. This is the first time I had help from one of the God's Or Goddess's

You can obtain Ejnar's ancestor stone without beating or killing Rathgar. Just obtain a 'The power of the ancestors' quest from Kerth and talk with Rathgar - he will give this stone to the our hero.

I already had Einars stone in my Inventory but decided I should get the Ancestors stone Quest before I went into the Tomb. By the time I got the quest and went to the other five tombs compleating them the Ejnar stone disappeared from my inventory. I was retracing my original steps I used to get the stone the first time. Apparently this is a bug in the game because I found the solution to get this very stone back and complete the quest. In the Marvin mode you can call up a NPC called Mr. Help AKA Commander and ask him for Ejnars stone and it is the only one of the Ancestors stones you can ask for by name. There is another way also but you need the artifacts code numbers to retrieve the stone. I have played all of the Gothic games including the newer ones. I think the first three games were the best but Gothic 3 was the best of those three. I have played G3 at least 25 times or more over a period of years including when it was so full of bugs it was a chore to play it. Frustrating to say the lest but worth the effort. Torgue1
