    Give me an year

Here is something to stimulate your brain with ...

Considering most of Gothic facts real, around what year the story might have evolved.
state the proofing facts and leave the guessing to a mentalist.
    cheers.

I'm sure there were some very old topics about what year the Gothic story took place, well as before there is a whole bounch to mention...

I'll take my time and write a big story probably of what I think, but not right now be back...
If you even try to look the other way...

What do you mean? I think the calendar system and current date in the Gothic world is never mentioned in any of the games. The technological level and social norms are a mix-and-match of different cultures and time periods in the real world so you can't draw a direct parallel like that, either. If I recall correctly the only thing that comes close to answering anything about dates are tombstones in Gothic II which display years of death that would fall into the Early Middle Ages if Gothic was to take place on Earth and use the Gregorian calendar, which it doesn't of course.

Considering the ability of the priest class to teleport themselves around the world, I would suggest that Gothic takes place in the distant future....probably about the same epoch as in which Star Trek is set.

Pyrokar goes on at the mouth about history/years...I always pick the era after the mid dark ages, a lot less barbaric yet not for a long time until the Renaissance

It must be around middle ages, because of the weapons and armour. Such long blades (steel) were not possible in dark ages, and knight/paladin armour are exact copies of knight's armours from middle ages. Also the ships, come from mid middle ages
