So my mom tells me I've been waking up in the middle of the night and screaming hysterically as if something is after me... Once I even got up and started hitting a chair and kicking it all the while screaming... strange thing is I barely remember doing so... Do you know why I do it?

I am fucking Serious! I am having these Night Terrors and I can't do anything about it...

Ever since I was a kid I've been afraid of sleep walking and the like... mainly because I watched the movie Anastacia and that part where she was gonna fall into the ocean while sleepwalking really scared me... I myself regularly dream I am jumping out of windows or stuff like that and I'm always afraid I may be sleepwalking one day and actually fall down the window...

So, are those just random screeches (Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!), or do you actually scream something intelligible? Also, maybe you should sleep with the lights still on?

And give up your fear of sleep-walking out of a window. You don't know how easy it is to trip on stuff before you even reach the window. Heck I trip on stuff in the dark even when I'm awake - before my night vision kicks in.

Well yes I am screaming like mad AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH etc.
My mom once opened the door and immediately waked me and initiated a night terror she looked to me like some "demon" or something and I started screaming at her and holding my pillow to protect myself with it... I am awake yet mentally asleep when that happens because I have no idea the next morning what had happened... I only have flashes.

I don't think there's anything "specific" to be done about it. I've heard about similar kinds of nightmares... some people seem to just lose those with age. If not, I think that a specialist could help.

My parents said they'll try some traditional folk medicines and the like. There's this practice called "bullet casting" which is supposed to make one fearless... they said they'll take me to some old woman (cuz old women are the ones who do this sort of mumbo jumbo) and let her do this thing...

Yes I am... it's like the 5th or 6th time this has happened... I don't know why it keeps happening, I suspect its because I tend to bottle all my feelings and not share them with my closest people... (in order to "spare there feeling")
For instance I don't bother my family with how my classmates are insulting me every day and how I just want to quit some days, because my parents will start complaining that there hearts hurt from these things that I am saying (wanting to quit etc. ) so I prefer to lie to them that my day was "GREAT!". I even have a fake smile and everything in front of them. I am just waiting for school to end so that I can finally get on with my life... it ends on the 30th of June and then I shall be finally free but if these night terrors keep happening because of the stress I am having I dunno...

There's a difference between being secretive and bottling your feelings... wanting to let it all go and share them with people but deciding not to... it's hard and it reflects on the psyche...
