Well I'm told you have to work there for like 5 or something years or marry someone from there but I am not so sure. They're already minorities. And now you want 1 or 2 of them to vote? Isn't that pointless?
What's your problem with minorities anyway? Look at Sri Lanka. It was very nearly split into two nations just because the minority Tamils were being oppressed.

My problem with minorities (bulgarian minorities that is) is that they have no honor. Gypsies (a large portion of them) steal, rape and even kill, while turks I do not generally like them ( because of our colorful history and the nasty way they try to impose there religion and way of life here). I don't hate them or anything I just do not think they should be given equal rights because what they are doing generally is treason.
Only a small percent of them should be given equal rights but only those who have been assimilated and consider themselves Bulgarians and not part of the minority...
Those are just my thoughts of course I am not trying to be racist or something.

The turks turn the music in there mosques so loud on purpose just to annoy us. They call us bad names and there have even been sights that they piss on and desecrate graves. So you understand why I do not think I want them to have the rights I have?

Well yes there are some idiot Bulgarians who also have no honor... but I haven't heard or seen anyone desecrating graves, burning the Bulgarian flag or stuff like that. It's one thing to be criminal, quite another to do such vile things... even Bulgarian mafia leaders enter our Church with respect. They do not spit on the icons... or steal them.
I've seen muslim bulgarians making fun of priests (true our priests are questionable) but attacking them on the street, pulling there beards is just... vile. A true bulgarian would never stoop so low.

I haven't been in battle myself, but even I can imagine some of the reasons why war is a dirty business on several levels.
First off, killing people makes a mess. Most people don't feel too good after killing someone and even those that don't give a shit have to see the mess. Shoot someone in the head and chances are their skull rips open and the inside splatters all over the place. I don't think living in an environment of daily lethal violence is beneficial to the mental health of people we send to war, which by the way are young people, "our future" like they say.
Second, war promotes war crimes. Soldiers can often be crazy fuckers who conspire to slaughter and rape non-combatants, even children, in horrible ways. And war provides perfect cover for their atrocities.
Third, war is an enormous strain on resources and life expectancy of all partakers.
Fourth, warfare is progressing to a point where escalation of a single conflict could contribute to our extinction.
Fifth, you preclude trade with a nation (or potentially many or all important ones, what with foreign politics) and ruin the place instead.

The Treaty of Versailles and the like were Edicts and Dictates which were too harsh... like: To not have an army? I mean wtf? That completely destroy's a nation's sovereignty...

Oh and about religious wars: There ultimate purpose is to eradicate one or the other religion. Personally I would like it if WWIII was the West against Islam and we won and every single Quran was banned and Christianity reigned supreme but oh well.. I guess that might not happen
