[Modification] 2Hd-Weapons Wielded with 1 Hand!
Hello Gothic_f@ns  ,
Well , today i had a look at Lazor's website and read the tutorial ''play with the visuals'' . After reading it i had an idea ... Two Handed Weapons carrying only with on hand! I wandet to try if it is possible , but it wasn't possible (with Lazor's website) i send a message to Lazor and he tried by hiself ... and he did it . He truely find out how to do that (RESPECT) !!! It's the same like ''play with the visuals''(Lazor's tutorial) , the difference is that :
Step 1 :you have to copy G3_Weapon_Axe_BerzerkAxe_01.xcmsh from the file G3_Items_Weapons_Melee_Axes_01 and paste it in the G3_Items_Weapons_Melee_Swords_01 file .
Step 2 :Than copy the name from an one handed weapon (from the G3_Items_Weapons_Melee_Swords_01 file ) for example the Orcslayer (G3_Weapon_1H_Sword_OrcSlayer_01.xcmsh)
Step 3 : After you have copied the name delete it (the file) and then click RENAME on the file G3_Weapon_Axe_BerzerkAxe_01.xcmsh so you can paste the name from the deleted file .
That means from G3_Weapon_Axe_BerzerkAxe_01.xcmsh it will be G3_Weapon_1H_Sword_OrcSlayer_01.xcmsh .
Clever, he?

No it's not silly. Just think about it, if a two handed sword needs 200str for 2xhand then if you have 400str isn't it logical to have two 200str swords?? What do you mean they were two handed and that's how they should remain. That's not realistic

But what do you say about the orcs in G1 and G2.They use 2Handed weapons.They can handle them with only one hand,and they hit very fast and are very strong.......

Yea ... and orc = 3 humans in size ... but if anyone could handle 2 weapons with 400 strenght ... well thats a whole lot of strenght

OH OH OH! that means I can swap the demon sword for the fire sword. Dual Wield with demon swords would be sweet!  Very nice adjustment!

Yes , that's true ...well at last in G1 in the intro you can see an orc which is carrying an two 2Handed weapons !!! Well don't forget that orcs are stronger than humans (well the orcs are intelligent MONSTERs , aren't they ?)

This is GREAT...congrats to both Spiros_kreta and Lazor...
This reminds me Diablo 2...the barbarian could lift a 2handed sword with one hand...

It is written 2Handed weapon,for ex an prc weapon,that means only to humans,not orcs.
And also how orcs can hit so fast with that heavy weapons?

Because they are rougher and more powerful creatures than humans. What for humans is hard to handle, for them it's a piece of cake.

and btw, ever paid atencion to those gigantic spears that orcs use? damnd! thats strengh!
imagine carrying 2 of those spears!!!

well, that is the sad part, u need to deleat a file for that!
imagine u want to convert all 2h into 1h, ul have to deleat a lot of 1h weapons!
that is what sux in the mod!

well, u could pic the orc slayer sword, and use its name to add in the 2h sword, but instead of deleting the orc slayer, u would just change something in its name! for exemple:
G3_Weapon_1H_Sword_OrcSlayer_01.xcmsh
to,
G3_Weapon_1H_Sword_OrcSla ya_01.xcmsh
would this work?

No, unfortunately no. You mean to change the name of the xmsch so that you'll have a Orcslayer and a OrcSlaYA sword in the game. But the xmsch is not enough to add a new item in the game. We must program the Game to add a new sword.

Well, I guess the topic has become a bit rusty but I've just been fiddling with this *pak file and indeed it worked to wield two-handed weapons in both hands (although I am not sure wether the two-handed weapon keeps its initial characteristics being used like that or simply provides its "skin" actually having characteristics of the underlying one-handed weapon).
The question I've come across and can't resolve is where there are in data packs the *xcmsh files relating to such cheat items as Demon Sword, Horn Helmets etc. I couldn't find these files and thus I couldn't have a Demon Sword in one hand. Since cheat items can be spawned and used as all other weapons and armour, they should have their own *xcmsh files just like the items which appear during gameplay but they don't seem to be in the same directory with them. Maybe these files are hidden somehow? Any suggestions?
P.S. Creating self-made weapons for Gothic 3 would drastically refresh the game. Hope clever people will figure it out

First of all  to the forum (it's pretty "dead" those days because everyone is on holidays but anyway i hope you'll have a nice time in here).
So back to our topic. I know what are you talking about because i've tried to find it. Yes, those swords (the two handed that became one handed with this mod) doesn't have their characteristics but instead of them they have the characteristics of the sword model they replaced as you say. I've searched the whole G3 directory but unfortunately i figured out only one thing... you can change the weapons price, damage etc only from the main game code and that's protected and locked (actually i don't know where it is but thats what i've heard).
