Is there any way to disable the day/night cycles? the nights are too dark and make it difficult to play the game.

Did you try to deactivate the quality renderer in the config-tool?

Our goal was to use the mouselight like a torchlight. Do used that and its still too dark for you?
If you deactivate Qualityrenderer you should use activate hardware cursor.

For a patch we will adjust the brightness in day/night cicles.

I tried the torchlight and it was still difficult to see. I tried deactivating quality renderer and activating the hardware cursor. with the new config i could no longer load my save games. i have the steam version and found that was a common problem. i downloaded the new test patch and now the game crashes after the video when you start it up.

Did you download the patch before or after my last message? If before you should download again.
The game crashed with a message or completely without?
have you tried to switch back to quality renderer. Pls try if the game crashes on quality renderer activate and deactivate.

i downloaded SteamPatch1203.zip, and i just redownloaded it to make sure it was the latest one. it still crashes with quality renderer activated or deactivated. it just says that groetesque tactics has stopped working, i get a dump file and ive already sent the dump with more information and my email.

We received only 1 crash today with version number 1203
at 7:18 without emailadress and additional information.
can you send this again?

here is another option:
After crash go to "Other actions"

press "Close the program and send report later"

Crashreports are located here: c:\Users\[Name]\AppData\Local\CrashRpt\UnsentCrashReports\Grotesque-Tactics_1.2.0.3\*

and then you could send it to contact@silentdreams.de
