newbie - I can´t use the bow

i have str 16, dex 10, shortbow, arrows, have also received some training. With my wolf knife I have already dispatched several wolves.
How can I use the bow and arrows that i have in my inventory?
I have completed some of the initial quests, am an apprentice of Bosmer, and have sneak skills.
Pls help me.

Just equip it. I believe the shortbow only requires 10 dexterity.
Did you try this? I didn`t encounter bugs on this matter.
BTW It`s 'Bosper' not 'Bosmer' ;)

I select it in the inventory and then equip it, but insted i activate my wolf knife. should i un-equip my wolf knife first? I have some lizards to skin for dinner.

You can equip that knife and the bow, no prob, you can equip one melee-weapon and one long-range weapon.
Then you can activate them by pressing ´1´ or ´2´.

Just click on the bow as on the wolf knife.

press 2 or midlle mouse button to activate it
and then hold left mouse button with pressing W
