I have the problem that the bands which I like r broken. The drummer of Blind Guardan (German metal band) left them and Tarja was left Nightwish^^ (and after I heard a drowning pool song the singer died...)

Bands which I like and r still alive r Corvus Corax (u will hear them in G³), In Extremo (u heard them in G1), Schandmaul (in extremo soft), maybe the most "German" band Rammstein (new album out!) and Freedom Call (just cool metal).
And Apocalyptica isn't bad too.

What kind of music u like?

i laughed my ass out when i heard that Tarja left Nightwish. Finnaly! I mean shes a good singer and all but all she wants is money. Nightwish is better without her ;)

Quite a lot i know. Those writen with cabs are really important and i advise them to all here. If u need any i can send u samples if u want ;)

Hypocrisy are gods of melodic death metal. One of the best bands ever. Altough i am a little dissapointed of the newest album Virus, but its got cool live dvd in it so i recomended it to all ;)

It is definitely a Music-style. As gabber is a style, and there is also Nu Style Gabber, and House Gabber (aka Cheese xD).

About rap:
(All is a matter of taste of course, the following is only my opinion and music-taste)...
I think the problem is the so-called rap what´s in the charts, on MTV maybe,... those "made" gangsters with expensive german cars and nearly naked "babes" in the videos and nothing more to say that they are the best and greatest. Most of them have no flow imho!
I don´t like 50 or eminem, 2pac is OK, but not the style of rap i like.
But rap is much more than that. I would recommend some other rap, before you judge it as non-art,... maybe Missy Eliot, Fugees, RUN D.M.C., Beastie Boys, a tribe called quest, Eve, Illmatic (german rapper :A ), Lost Boyz, Moses Pelham (also german, one album in english, but endless cool style), etc...

Some time ago we had realy long discussion about it with rekinu, Godcrusher, Werner and DeadlyArrow and ThorTheViking, too. And it was very deep and even analysing discusion.

Some of his pictures look like as we say here "marazm" - it`s totaly crazy stuff - don`t see art there, but some of them are realy wonderful! So - the points is - for some some things are peace of are for some, the same things, are peac of sh*t!!!

There is no need to generalize. I'm the last person who would praise rap, but even I have found few cool songs from that genre. The fact is: 90% of any music is crap, you'll just have to find the pearls :). Naturally other genres might suit you better than rap, but saying that the whole genre is crap, is quite ignorant of you.

But enough of that.

My music taste usually leans towards rockish/poppish stuff.

The fact is: 90% of any music is crap, you'll just have to find the pearls :). Naturally other genres might suit you better than rap, but saying that the whole genre is crap, is quite ignorant of you.

My music taste usually leans towards rockish/poppish stuff.

Few artists/bands I enjoy listening to:

Guns n roses (released three greatest rock albums i've heard till today), Rammstein. (Nothing wakes you up better at the morning), Johnny Cash (Who would not like man in black and his dark-sensed music), Nightwish (I'll just hope they manage to find a replacement for Tarja), Apocalyptica, Leonard cohen (everytime I want to relax and be sentimental), Bob Marley (He just puts me on a good mood)...

Some time ago I saw Cruel Intentinos. And with "Placebo - Every Me, Every You" as a soundtrack of this film. Anyways, I liked "her" mean voice and then I looked for the band overview. I saw some pictures (http://www.hiponline.com/artist/music/p/placebo/placebo-bio_tile.jpg), and I liked "her" evil face. Then I looked at the band member names.. and then.. "wtf.. 'brian' ??" And I felt kinda stupid. :D Anyways.. I got some more songs of Placebo and now I'm a big fan. ^^

hm i can give you names to pagan/viking/ fantasy bands. Try Ensiferum, Thyrfing, Nomands land, The elysian fields, amon amarth(they are death metal but they sing about fantasy try it).

He`s a fan for couple of years - can`t say directly. And most interesting thing is that I was the one who interested him with "Every You and Evry Me". he he.... but I`m not a fan - I just sometimes listen to it, but as I said - sometimes I can`t listen to it becouse it makes me depresive! :(

It's not recomended to search and download from net ;) You should check out the music stores, and do it clean :cool: At least don't mention these kind of things here on the forum :)

You can also try some of these : Tristania or Bauhaus. I have a friend who listens alot of rock, and he recomended some ^^

Rammstein is an awesome band, so much energy. Although every time i listen to it, I regret I didn't choose german for my 3:rd foreign language at school :). I'm not saying that french was a bad choise at all... Still there are times when I'd have benefitted german. Luckily most ppl in germany agree to speak english (if someone doesn't know their mother language) unlike many of those stubborn frenchmen ;)

Left home at 4-5 AM in the morning...the next day my head was exploding, too much pain :( some friends dropped by and invitated me with some chicks in the forest to a walk

Btw....somehow they remind me of Anathema(Judgement album) or more than that they remind me of On Thorns I Lay . These guys are very good. They have an album from 2000(forgot the name) wich really rocks ;)

Hmm...somehow sounds familliar. :) But sadly no. didn't realy went to alot of places outside of Tudor and Podu Ros.
I remember going to a place called Flamingo. It was a "rockoteca"(don't know if the word exists in english, anyway it would be something like a club where only rock music is played).
Besides that, can't really remember pub names :) I have a short memory :p

well the only album wich i really like (it was also my first metal album) from them is the Black album. the others arent my cup of tea but this one is a pure masterpiece;)

Well my favourite band is Pink Floyd, a british psichedelic rock band (im sure I didn;t write that correctly). They are the best rock band imo. The Wall albume is simply mind-blowing. So is The Final Cut. They are simply perfect. And what I really like about them is that I cannot listen to one track from their albums. I have to listen to the whole albume. The Wall also has a music-film with the same name. It's great. I would recomend it to anyone. Are there any other Pink Floyd fans on this forum?:)

Sort of. Most of their albums draw their inspiration from folklore, and transform it into a high quality rock music. One of the most longevivous (dunno if I spelt it correctly, but you got it, right?) bands in the world. Their first album was in `68, and their latest in 2005.
